Basic Wine/Mead recipes?

with the right kind of yeast mead can be made much much faster than most of these posts indicate, unfortunately i have only done this from kits and the strain of yeast used is the one ingredient to the kits the maker will not tell me.

I would recommend brewing beer as a start... work your way up. Take it from one who has: start simple and small!
If you don't want to make something that tastes good and the bang for your buck is what you want, then I might tell you to still moonshine (if it wasn't illegal, which it is)....

Really? beer is way harder to do than mead lol
