Good evening,
So I am 2 1/3 months into my first indoor grow and it appears that I am going to have to move my facility downstairs to the basement. Should not be be a huge issue because some of the problems I would have been facing upstairs are somewhat solved.
Photos show what I am up against currently:
Height - As you can see some of then are already sitting in the tub, the lowest point and a couple are not even flowering and are heading "up". Also due to the window placement I have to keep the lights to each side, therefore not achieving the full capacity. Additionally, if I center the lights as I mentioned the bath room is in the upstairs office loft which is all windows and when the door is open, the LED would be clearly visible in the loft so that means I'd have to keep the door closed and will eliminate my fresh air source from the loft.
Ventilation - Only two air sources upstairs, the window (which is blocked except for holes drilled for air), and the open bathroom door. My exhaust is the ceiling fan which I would have replaced for a better one. But the basement is an original stone one and there are windows that can be light secure. Also have air vents in new addition coming into the basement so ventilation and fresh air should be okay.
Heat - I've seen the thermo upstairs hit 88' in the summer due the skylight and small space so I'm not keen on $ on an AC when the basement is always 65-70 in the summer and I can use the heater in the winter once my enclosure is built.
Power - Only have one upgraded outlet in the bath. But have many downstairs and the circuit breaker is like 6 ft from my planned area which would eliminate the hassle of bringing power and more outlets all the way upstairs.
Plan is a 2 x 4 framed 4 X 8 particle board enclosure with either a pallet or wooden floor to keep them off the cement floor. Not sure of the "sealed" room VS small spaces on the bottom and ceiling for airflow yet.
That's where I'm at so comments or advisory is genuinely appreciated
Only issue I see maybe some dampness due to stone weep, but again, in the enclosure I should be able to eliminate it. Also
