Bangi Haze

Peacer

Hello Peacer,

Nepalese Jam is maybe a bit faster, but bangi haze has been tested between 40-45ºN for years, very resistant against mold, cold and rain, they should mature correctly there unless you are growing at quite high altitude and your micro climate is specially cold at your latitude.

its really good to hear that cause she is the last flowering plant and with min.9weeks so Im scare , but what have you written is good :) so even that Ive started to use horsetail tea against mold as a prevence...

fluffy really nice bud , Im looking forward her

I have two phenotipes in mummyroom so Im curious hehe

Hello everyone. Thought I'd update day 19 with the ladies, which are 7 bangi and 1 lone biko II. Everything is getting big and looks like they are going to produce! I was previously underfeeding them and corrected it but have noticed on a couple of the bangi's that the lower leaves are turning yellow and falling right off. My nute regiment is gh maxi bloom at a 1.55 EC, some drip clean, silica blast, ph at 5.8. I do flood and drain 2 1/2 gallon buckets. any ideas on what's happening are welcome. They look good though!https://www.icmag.com/ic/attachment...nt.php?attachmentid=185106&stc=1&d=1349058548

With nice big plants like those it might just be lack of light reaching the lower leaves and the plant deciding to relocate nutrients to more productive regions.

Its hard to tell in the photos if it is just the lower leaves yellowing. If they are otherwise healthy and green then its probably not lack of food (esp. Bangi Haze which supposedly requires a light diet.)

i recently reread this thread and came across mayan having a similiar problem with his bangi's. he proposed that with some sativa's they will drop their lower leaves. i was feeding them at a 1.2 EC and they started to show signs of underfeeding, all the leaves started to lighten up and also showed a deficiency. the 1.5 greened all new growth up nicely and they started to go into overdrive!

Hey Fluffy, photos above look good. How much longer on yours? They are outdoors, right? I need some more African in the garden :D

Hello RebelGrow,

Very nice start of flowering, healthy plants with plenty of colas everywhere :D It's normal to increase fertilizer dosage in flowering time in the first 2/3 parts of the flowering process. Let us know if you have any doubt. Best wishes! :)

hello my fellow icmaggers! here's an update on what's going on with the bangi ladies and biko. so i screwed these poor ladies up a bit with first underfeeding them and then overfeeding. when i was underfeeding them i happened across the KISS thread and read up and figured that if these guys were having success then i should try it too. i proceeded to up the nutes to the desired amount and watched them green up a bit and then develop burned tips which progressively worsened to the point where nitrogen was being locked out and leaves started falling off from the bottem up. my EC was at 1.65 i dropped it down to 1.55 but that didn't help so i flushed and dropped to 1.35. i've now noticed that i when i go to fill up my res that my plants are drinking a healthy amount of water and the EC is constant 1.35 with the ph going up from 5.7 to 5.9 before i add new water and nutes. i believe that this is a good sign and the buds are starting to bulk up. there are still leaves falling up i'm not going to add anymore nitrogen at this point. here's some pics!https://www.icmag.com/ic/attachment.php?attachmentid=186377&stc=1&d=1349807169

Hello Peacer,

thanks for the update. What do you think was the cause of the yellowing and slow flower production ?

Hi RebelGrow,

I like the way your plants are fatten up :) Bangi Haze works better with moderate dosage of fertilizers, not very low or high EC ... it may take one or two rounds till you know what is best for a concrete strain in your garden. We are all learning on the way ....

Hi Dubi, i recently orderd a few pas of your Bangi haze! I have wanted to try this for a long time so i am looking forward to growing these out.
Just a quick question in regrads to potency and quality (which you probably have answered a million times already) How would you compare the potency/quality to say a ssh or kali mist
also i picked up the nepalese highland from cannabiogen is this the same nepalese in your nepjam?

Hello Peacer,

thanks for the update. What do you think was the cause of the yellowing and slow flower production ?

high,
no problems with yellowing, slow flower production cause of genetic and my area.
bangi is imo without problems for 47/8N but northern can be difficult , at 50N for the greenhouse is still good choice for later harvest ! maybe if you have some nepal dminant pheno it can be earlier but NJam is for that...I know she is tested in Spain to cold and mold, but in my area it wasnt so good. my experiences are from this one year ...

also i picked up the nepalese highland from cannabiogen is this the same nepalese in your nepjam?
its the same reproduction

IMO need4weed, it would depend on the specific samples for each plant. Bangi Haze does produce a very up and electric/racy high. Very little body (indica) effect in the plants I've grown. If you got a SSH or KM expressing more of it's indica body, then there would be some noticeable differences.

Bangi Haze can get edgy if too much is consumed...this I know4fact.

The plants I grew were extremely odoriferous. A smell that would hang on you for hours after visiting the flower room. Cured to a much more manageable Lemony/Oniony sort of scent and taste.
