Hello once again fellow growers (maybe too much to consider myself a grower already haha);

I'm almost done over here, PCKC's and Bangis are almost ready. Malawis still have a looooong way to go, but they are doing alright.

Today I have pics to show. First, in this post, I will give a little info and a link to an album with higher res of the girls, and then I will post some of the pics hosted here, that will be smaller, for the lazy ones :)

Pics are not the best in the world, because I suck at photography and I used my phone so, my apologies.

Also, my descriptions of smells are not very good, as I'm not really experienced doing that, so I hope you understand what I mean :p .

Here we go:
_________________________________________________________

PCK x Kali China

PCKC#1 (green pheno) - http://imgur.com/a/9gYD9 -12L pot. 77cm tall. Nice and quite strong "classic" smell that sticks to you for a while if you touch her a little; more spicy than her sister, but she also have this fruit-like smell that is so sweet. It also depends where and when I smell; I don't know, this one is quite complex for me to describe. Good amount of sticky trics (bit less than her sister). Medium-size buds, and some of them have purple hues (just a little tho).

PCKC#2 (purple pheno) - http://imgur.com/a/L9nFu -12L pot. 79cm tall. Smells like "putrid fruit" (in a good way) with a ¿spicy? undertone on her. Nice amount of sticky, shiny trics; few of them purple. Fat, purple buds with a big cola (in my opinion). Dark green leafs.

I think they look pretty good, at least to me  .

I will harvest PCKC#2 in 5-7 days I guess, depending on how trics look to me. So far she only have ambar at the top, in the outer part of the sugar leaves (wich is good because I want to make hash); "inside" the actual bud she is clear/cloudy, and I want more cloudy ones. PCKC#1 will have to wait a little more, not sure how much but maybe 7-12 days.

I'm checking trics every day. I'm also looking at pistils for future reference.

Bangi Haze

BH#1 - http://imgur.com/a/gzQqa - 25lt pot. 119cm. Herbaceus smell. Poor amount of trics compared to her sister, still in development. Poor amount of pistils.

BH#3 - http://imgur.com/a/PE1ZZ - 17lt pot. 108cm. Delicius citric smell, like lemon, with hints of other things that I don't know how to describe, floral maybe? Quite nice amount of trics still in development. Nice amount of pistils.

Not much to say about these ones yet, as they still have 2 weeks to go, at least. Just that I had feeding problems with them or something (maybe PH?), specially with BH#1. Her leafs are all fucked up, with clawing and yellowing, also purpling in the stems. BH#3 had some problems like this too (not too much. And I think it was because we had storm here not so long ago, so I didn't water them. Maybe the rain flushed some nutrients away from the soil), but I changed the feeding and she looks better now (and smells SO good, mmm); BH#1 is still bad, she also got bent pretty hard by a storm. I guess terpene and tric production are getting affected by this. Also, remember this post I did:

And now the Bangis. As you can see they are different from eachother, and I think that they don't smell the same either (maybe too soon yet). Maybe different phenos? But I read that Bangi Hazes don't differ too much from one another so, what do you think?

I also got a mutant one (BH#2, that didn't make it pass day 20). So maybe I had a not so great batch? I'm not trying to blame ACE or anything, because these are living beings after all, and I'm really happy with the other plants (only 2 plants that I had problems with, both BH). Also, I'm 200% sure that I could have done it better; I don't get it because she was looking soo good at one point, so probably was me the one who fucked it up, or maybe she was already a weak plant and with my bad care I made it worse. I just want to find answers to what went wrong, and learn from the experiences.

About the size of the buds, we will see how much they grow. For now they are pretty small compared to the PCKC's (this should be normal, as the PCKC's are indica hybrids, right?).

Malawis

Mala - http://imgur.com/a/CnfsV - 25L pot. 95cm. Just starting to form flowers. Thin, dark green leafs. No smell at all, just some kind of freshness. Basically no tricomas for now, but nice amount of pistils. Pretty compact structure I'd say.

Awi - http://imgur.com/a/VhTdn - 17L pot. 127cm. Just starting to form flower. Thin, not so dark leafs. No smell, just this "freshness". Already starting to stack tricomas, nice amount of pistils.

About these ones I don't really have much to say, as they still have 6 weeks to go or so. Awi had feeding problems I think, as she isn't as dark as her sister and have yellow leafs (and for what I've read, Malawis are supposed to be dark green). I guess this was for the size of the pot. She also lost a couple of stems when she was younger because of the wind and my bad tutoring; then she got bent super hard because I des-tutured her, and now she have tutor again. Mala's flowers looks bigger than Awi's ones, but Awi have more trics.

Oh! I'm starting to hate snails by the way...

As you may imagine, I can't stop looking at my PCKC#2. She is BEAUTIFULL, it's a shame that I couldn't make clones of her. I'm a little sad that I have to chop her, but those purple buds will look beautifull in a jar as well! :peacock:

That's all I have for now. All the ladys are 121 days old (they sprouted the 7th of June) and counting.

And as I already said, I will be growing ACE stuff next year too.

I hope you are all doing well.
Hasta la próxima!

Tomorrow I will harvest PCKC#2.

I'm not really sure about PCKC#1, I don't think she is fully ready, but we had rain all week here, and will continue 1 or 2 more weeks. That means high humidity, and tomorrow I have to water her or chop her; If I water her, that means no chopping for 3-4 days. I don't want to have too many ambar with this one as she seems to be more sativa than PCKC#2, and I don't want to ruin the smoke.

Pfffff, what to do... probably I will just leave her those 3 days, or chop the central cola tomorrow and let the other buds mature a little bit more. The thing is that, looking at the pistils, I think this one could go like a week longer, but they finish late September/first week of October, so maybe I'm already waiting too much. I don't know, I will look at the trichs for the 3rd time today, maybe I missed something the other 2 times xD

Noob problems I guess.

Bangis still have a week and a half at least, as they don't have ambar yet. Malawis are starting to look prettier :D

Thanks Orfeas. I was about to chop PCKC#2 in a couple of hours. I just checked on her again after reading you, and she still have some clear trichs and not even 10% amber. She is starting to show amber trichs just now, and 50% of the pistils are brown/orange, so I panicked . I will let her swell this weekend as I check on her, and we will see how she is on Monday.

What frightens me is that the sun is basically gone where I live, and the Bangis still have like 2 weeks to go or so, and the Malawis... I think they will suffer quite a bit with the temps, humidity (I live near the Atlantic Ocean) and the short days.

Ahhhhh!! I'm a lot more relaxed now xD. Thank you again Orfeas :woohoo:

Right on, galliciano!

Those cones of beauty of yours can be dubious at times, which dubi ain't  , tricking you into thinking harvest is at the door...yet, calyx and smell observation can be a safer beacon ...

Worry not about the sun, I grow at 40, the light is just about fine...major concern is humidity and temps, like you said, and having sailed around Finistere a few times I know first hand how brutal the weather can be around your neck of woods...but then, that's the most challenging part of an outdoor grow...

Keep rocking!

Well, I have a doubt that is killing me: I chopped half of PCKC#2 today; The thing is that she smells good, like she always does, but when I cut a stem she starts to smell more pugnent, and when i'm done trimming a bud, the bud smell like... humidity, or wetness. It doesn't smell good anymore. Last year the same happenned to me... My question:

¿Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I'm quite worried.

Tomorrow I will cut what's left at noon or in the afternoon. So if any of you have some advice or anything, go ahead :)

The drying will be a problem. We had 1&1/2 weeks of rain, now we have 2 sun days, and then rain again... temps are dropping hard.

Hi vcasqui,

Looks like the PCK x Kali China has worked fine in your climate, the purple pheno is a real beauty.
How did the Malawi and Bangi Haze turn out ? In your area the sun is weak after September, with many cloudy and rainy days, and depending on how is your terrace located your plants can lose important hours of direct sun light in autumn, which are very important for sativas to mature correctly.

Regarding the wet aroma of the flowers at harvest time, it's quite normal they smell wet a few days after harvest .... i wouldn't worry too much ... try to dry and cure them properly and all their natural aromas and terpene complexity will slowly come back. After 2-3 months of proper curing the aromas should be 'shining' again in full glory.

Hey, what's up Dubi. Nice to see you around.

It's has been pretty rough for me lately. I lost the BH#1 because I had to be out of town 1 hole week; other person was taking care of them, but the weekend was really rainy and windy and when I came, she was 80% putrid, so I got rid of her. A lot of that was caused not only by the wetness, but also by fucking worms (Not worms, but I think you know what I mean).

BH#3 had some rot here and there. But 90% of the plant was harvested. She dried pretty fast and smells good, also burns smoothly and already taste nice. Before the chop, she was giving the hole house (even inside) a really nice aroma and was sticky and even oily, now she is not. Not too much to say about the high, because I usually game when I smoke, and it's pretty difficult to test; It's like I'm not even high, but I know I am because I feel the music the way I usually do when I'm high. It also allows me to play without much troubles, and I had some above (my) average matches playing CS:GO (test reaction time and concentration) and Paladins (also reflexes and some multitasking). With the time, this feeling of euphoria goes away, and it's all pretty clean.

The 25L Malawi ended up with almost all her heads putrid. So I harvested like 65% or so, mainly mid sized buds. This one, unlike BH#1, I will blame on the person who was taking care of her the week I was not there. She is still drying. I mixed up a little of this with the BH#3 and I felt something. Something different.

The 17L Malawi. I have like a third of this one waiting for harvest, for testing pourposes. Like BH#3, I will end up harvesting ~90% of her. The rest is drying. I smoked some "charas", I think it's called, and you can say for sure that Malawis have something in them. I can just imagine how a REAL Malawi would feel (I mean a Malawi that has been selected beforehand and growed in optimal conditions by an experimented grower)

And the PCK x Kali China: A pleasure to grow, really. The green pheno it's getting sticky inside the jars, but you can tell it's way too wet. It was almost 1 month drying, but with this weather and the density of the buds it's hard :( Anyways, I just smoked one of this right now, and It was pretty dreamy (1'5hrs for this text), sends you into your mind and makes you think. No body stone at all, makes me hungry.

In general, the drying process was not optimal at all. It actually was super hard because I really hadn't any good place. Curing will be a pain in the ass also, but much less. But well, at lest the manicuring is almost done ufff haha. Right now I have the jars in a place with 15ºC and 62%RH, wich I think it's pretty good, but this is ever-changing. No pics because I'm using a really old Nokia.

So, I can honestly say that I'm dissapointed with me. I know I could have done it better. Specially at certain points along the way. But I also think that I had patience and dedication, and I learned a lot this year.

BUT the most important thing for me is that they all make me happy when I smoke them :D

So, that's what I have for now. I'll be lurking in the shadows.

:thank you:

Oh! I didn't said how the purple PCKC was. Well, I tested a little bit too much of this one xD This was the one that I test with friends, and by myself alone, and... So I only have a medium sized jar left. I wont talk about the taste, because she was not in ideal conditions, but it was not that bad. The high starts pretty funny and such, kinda like green pheno, not as much tho, but then you feel it on your body, and you start to get a little tired.
