Bangi Haze in DWC/Bubbler

hey oldpathblusky- nice first time with the with the hydro..DWC is the best way to grow if you ask me. i myself did a big one plant grow with rez's DSD! it was my first grow of any kind and like i said DWC works like a charm! Simple as pie. KISS!

So I had some trouble with someone breaking into my house, but fuck em, fukin' punks, I got somethin for that ass next time.

Here's the story on the Bangi Haze... my Ph pen broke during this grow so what ended up happening was nutrient lock out in the middle stages of flowering which diminished my personal yeild, terpene developement, and cannabinoid and thc developement. I usually lower my ph with concentrated lime that you buy at the store, so when the ph pen was reading wrong the ph was very very acidic, causing nutrient lock out.

...Its okay though, it was my first attempt at DWC, plus I have rooted clones that'll give me a second try! look to the sky not the dirt!

Plus, I have a nice little harvest of bangi buds

Here's some pics, do you guys think these buds are immature? I thought so, but maybe it's just the phenotype, cus some of the pics look like they are in full flower. I'm pretty sure the case is immature buds, but second opinions are always great.

Old Path: Nice work. Sorry to hear about the nute problem.
I just chopped down my second batch and they were a bit smaller in my new ebb & flow than my first batch in the EuroGarden (top feed).

Get 'em dried and cured and smoke 'em up. You'll like the Bangi for sure. I know I do.

Thanks rifishman, I'll be growing two bangi clones next one in soil and one in hydro.
Whatever - sorry no more updates, the bangi is already cut down and I threw a Himalaya Gold in there, she's on her first week now.

If you want to know dried weight, she came out to 13.8g, almost a half on the dot. But my plant suffered from nutrient lock out in the middle of flowering, so that definitely effected the yield. But the smoke is still top notch, very spicy when smoked and smells like incense. The number one thing I love about this plant is the smell it puts out before being smoked, and the high it delivers, it's like a warm head high that induces thought, speech, and humor. It's a happy up high, I love it.

When you say spicy do you mean peppery? I've heard some say it's has a bit of a garlic taste.

rifishman - No, I didn't get to make hash from the clippings I will next time though. But I didn't throw the trim away, my father asked me for the trim to use for tea, so I let him have it and now he's been drinking a lot of tea lol so at least it didn't go to waste. Marley's Collie, Mother's Finest and Neville's Haze are some very nice picks, I hope you find that sativa jewel you wanted. I'll keep you updated throughout the year with my breeding projects (Satori x Original Haze, Bangi Haze x Orginal Haze).

Whatever - I can taste a little garlic in there. The spiciness is kind of hard to describe, if I had to pick two words to characterize it, it would be 'exotic' and 'hazey' (sorry if this is a vague description). It definitely leaves a taste in you mouth after smoking it, everyone I smoked out said they haven't really tasted bud like it. When I took cuttings from her, she let out odors that was like a combination of black liquorice x melon x cellantro... it's an awesome smell. And when she's curing the jar smells like liquor x melon x haze.

Rifishman, when you took cuttings did you smell the same kind of aromas I did?

not to u but at what week did you harvest ? week 3 or 4 of flowering ? if u had a nutrient lock out all you had to do was flush the system and try to pin point by reading your plant whats causing the lock out. as of my opinion they could have gone another 5 to 7 weeks longer !!!!! and you probably would have yielded well over 2 ounces easy

iluv2blaze - Yes they could have gone longer, they were harvested immature. I could have gotten much more, but I'll have another go at it soon, organically in soil. Btw, it wasn't only nutrient lock out it had developed 'root rot'. I tried flushing, but IMO she never fully recovered so I chopped her down. I had to purchase another PH pen b/c the electrode in my older pen broke and during that time was when all of this happened.
