Bangi Gloria -> my breeding with Bangi for outdoor action in Rhineland

Seed planting straight into the ground was a total failure. Nothing there when I came to have a look.
Another spot, with Congo and Bangi Gloria, was almost destroyed by rabbits. Should have caged them.
I have put outside the aforementioned last round. Hope they fare better.

Well, I have found one seedling from the directly sown F13xA11, 3 Congos that were just stumps after rabbit attack bounced back, two older clones look good, so not all is lost :smoke:

The last round will be minis. They should be good: fenced in, mulched, fertilizer and snail poison applied, favourable weather at planting. It would be sweet to bring in some good ones. There are some interesting strains and potentially very good smoke. Minis though can't make up for the failed early planting.

From nothing comes nothing. I was too busy with finishing my degree. And complacent really, but fuck it. I wanted to take a brake, didn't I? So I don't complain. Just reminded that I have to be more sharp and determined, if I want to bring in a fat harvest.

On Sunday we went for a walk on the river promenade and in the riverbank meadows. On the way back I've spotted two hemp plants just next to the promenade, under a deep drop to the waterfront, among boulders and blending in with the brush. The male was in full flower, the female at least 1.5m high, with long, thin leaves. Brought a smile on my face :)

Hello Barbanegra,

If you are growing guerrilla style, it's better not to plant seeds directly there, chances to lose the little seedlings by any kind of animal are very high, i would recommend you to start the plants in a safe place like a terrace or indoors till they reach almost half meter, then move them to the guerrilla place.

Rabbits could be a serious problem when the plants are tender and young, especially in dry climates in summer time (not sure is your case), their food is limited and not very nutritional or tasty at this time of the year, so they found the well watered cannabis plants too irresistible, your urine could help to avoid them from the place but the best way is to protect the base of the plants with a metal layer. Good luck next time!

I've already lost hope, but too soon! STS worked, male flowers are comming!
With a bit of luck I shall have a new batch of fems. BangiT Gloria (= BHBHPTxMMGGBHPT) backcrossed to BangiT (= BHxBHPT).
Here come the pix and I'll come with some words later. I flushed the plants today with 5l of water, coz they are getting to dark from the soil. Hope that helps.

Hi dubi! Hope winter is over in Spain and you and yours are doing well.

STS man... Now I see, that I should have sprayed with STS earlier, as the plants are now ripe, but the seeds are not. The treated plant turned all male. First signs were observed 17 days after first application.
What I wonder now: when I spray only one branch, will just that branch bear male flowers?

I have collected the pollen and will maybe use it in summer on something.

My original idea about STS breeding was to take clones from the best outdoor growers and spray them, then pollinate outdoor plants, later choose seeds from the best flowers for next generation planting.

But now I don't want to have plants indoors any more (just too stinky. can't control the smell on this line), so I will try and spray outdoors in late june/early july. Did you use STS outdoors? I wonder if spraying one branch will do.

Here is the BangiT Gloria (Early line = Eleonora) #1 some 80 days after braking ground and growing under 12/12. I like her structure. Smell is very strong. My wife says she stinks, a friend thought her somewhat lemony and it was his favourite. To me it's a pungent, heavy, spicy smell right now. The pollen donor had a lighter, somewhat green smell, with a rose or "flowery" tone.
Hollow stem, in fact all have hollow stems.

Here we have BangiT Gloria (Eleonora line as well) #2. Same age. More lanky, foxtailing flowers. Pungent as well. Used to be a more heavy tone than #1. To my wife tasty and fresh. (everyone seems to smell somethign else). Now she seems similar to #1 but with a hint of fruit and a bit more "chemical" - whatever that means.

And here we have BangiT Gloria, Cecylia line, which I suspect to actually be a BangiT f2 (= BangiHaze x BangiHaze/PurpureaTicinensis f2) as mixed pollen was used, due to her lesser vigour and a smell that I associate with the BangiHaze/PurpureaTicinensis cross: insanely powerful, next level shit compared to the other ones (especially earlier in flo), very very sweet.
My wife said: tasty, heavy, spicy. Now she smells for us like some red fruit candy, redcurrant actually.
Very desirable from me. The other ones stink in comparison, this one is perfumed. Superbly frosty, but small flowers and not vigorous.
This is an example of the kind of smell, that I would like to see a lot in my line. Only better ones that I can think of were one of the original BHPTs, that was pure honey melon, a lemony/super sour SchromxC99 and my first tropical fruits FMS Grapefruit, although that wasn't so pungent.

Apart from that I have a clone from Flying Dutchman's The Pure, that smells quite lacklustre in comparison and a Highland Mex x BB from Chimera, that had superb vigour, but now needs to be fed. Still a long way to go with her flowering. Cuttings from her, that I have put in water on my western window, made roots super quick and very nice. Now I need to figure out who I shall gift them to, as I want to shut down my indoor asap.

I haven't smoked much lately as I have no time for that and my stash is almost completely dry. I can't actually remember the last time when I really enjoyed it, when it was like magic. Last time was some mixed hash that just fucked me up. I wonder if maybe ganja smoking times might be over for me...
Still looking forward to sampling this run and hope to find something I will really like, preferably next weekend while making fire in my new garden : )

Greetings to all reading this! May the coming, 13th season of the new millennium, be safe and bountiful!

Hola Barbanegra,

Winter was mild and now spring is shining here in the mediterranean coast. :) Wish you are enjoying there!

The pure from Flying Dutchmen reminds of the older skunks from the 80s that were more sativa influenced, closer to the uk cheese clone. Very smelly pot, sativa structured with somewhat narcotic afghani type of high.

To coordinate better the reversions, apply STS over the indicas around 20 days before place the females into flowering under 12/12 cycle. If you are reversing longer flowering sativa strains then apply STS even 4-5 weeks earlier than place the other females into flowering. Hope it helps!

I have just harvested some Grapefruit x F13A11 and Gloria x Jacalyn. Bingo! Outdoor beauties. Also some Grapefruits, ManitobaMedicine x GuerillaGold and BangiGloriaTicinensis fems. Old seed still sprouting. Accidentaly a section of all got pollinated. So fresh seed stock happily secured.

Checking back on the old thread. Nice to have it here. I like growing outdoors. This year was the nicest weather of all. No mold. Healthy plants. Dense, sticky buds :D

The joy of smoking is back. Tasty

Well I'm more interested in which of your crosses finished for you properly ? How far North are you? And sure let's see some pics of your Bangi Hybrids Buds?

Peace GG

I'm right there on the northern edge of the Middle Rhine, where the river hits the lower land. Mild, wet and warm area. All of my crosses would have finished properly this year. Some of the Grapefruit and Grapefruit x F13Apollo11 could have went a week longer.

This year I had:

ManitobaMedicine x GuerillaGold - the earliest. 4th week of Sept.

BangiTGloriaxBangiT - my Bangi Haze, Purpurea Ticinensis and ManitobaMedicine x GuerillaGold mix. done second.

Gloria x Jacalyn - Gloria beeing similar to the above, but with more ManitobaMedicine x GuerillaGold in it. Jacalyn comming for seedbay, from this oldschool californian guy i forgot his name.

Grapefruit and Grapefruit x F13Apollo11 - making the last two rounds. say 2nd and 3rd week of October.

What do you grow?
