oh i mean to ask, since ill be gone for 4 days, is it possible for nannas to form and open in 4 days??

or does it take like 7 days+

Greetings thegrower

It usually takes longer than four days for staminate flowers ("bananas") to form and release pollen. With the slight hermaphroditic tendency displayed so far, your worry far exceeds the potential problem.

A few 'female' seeds isn't necessarily a bad thing. If you get them, and if you choose to germinate them, keep the temperature in the 75 degree area, and the hermaphroditic trait should not manifest itself.

Sincerely,
Charles.

thanks charles, yeah im just flippin out ya know how it can get, this grow started like 15 weeks ago i would hate for it to deteriorate now.

I added extra cfl's a few days ago and it increased temps by 10F, after i added them i started seeing these bananas, so ive shut off the cfls and the temps are back into the 75-80F range.

Pollenation only occurs by budsite right? so if pollen spreads from plant A to plant B then only the recieving budsite on plant B will produce seeds is that correct? the other budsites will remain seedless?

Thanks everyone, sorry to seem so worried, i just couldnt believe it when i opened the box and saw them damn bananas!! :joint:

especially the Dutch Passion IBL.
Their female seeds?

I had trouble with Dutch P before. If you decide not to kill the plant, when you are trying to remove the "nanner" wet (I spit on mine) fingers before you start to remove the nanner. This will contain most of the pollen. Remember it takes a few days for the sac to form pollen so if you are on top of things it won't be a problem.

Don't sweat a few seeds anyway. Its just a few and a lesson not to grow female seeds. I personally think it is all a bunch of hype. Nothing like a good selection of males to make some F2's with anyway.

I agree female seeds arent for everyone, but they surely arent created equal in my experience.Any dutch passion female strain is likely to produce a few seeds,on the contrary any female seeds strain I've tried is more likely not to produce seed, environment is important but the folks really need to know what the hell they're doin too,and the FS team obviously does.EDIT Damn bro I hope those are trichs and not mite damage on the first and third pics,my two experiences with DP blueberry both produced spidermites they are 100% succeptable

If you only got a few nads hanging, I'd say reap the windfall of the few seeds they'll produce. Even if your original seeds weren't feminized, these ones will be. They should be all female seeds. You'll still get decent bud out of the plant.
