Ok so im in week 5 of flower and i just noticed a few bananas on a few budsites... there are like 5 total... is this something i should worry about? only one is fully formed like a banana the other suspects arent confirmed yet...

are the buds gonna start exploding with bananas or should i be ok? :badday:

You'll have to be the judge, as we can't see without pics.. :D

If it is kicking out a few here and there, you can pluck 'em, or let em go if you want some beans..???

If it's mad bananas then ditch it.... or let it finish and smoke it and then ditch it.....

Did you stress it in any way.... any little light leaks????

ill grab pics when the light comes on, no light leaks at all, i may have opened the box once or twice for < 10min to fix the fan but all the lights in my room were off, there was nothing about normal moonlight type levels...

The heat has been up in the 87F range, think that did it? pics soon!

Possible.... I have had plants finish in temps that high with no herm/stress signs.... you may have reeeaaally sensitive plants....

You've got a hermie? Well, I had a hermie, she churned out a bunch of seeds, as well as very good bud. It was a pain in the ass, but I kept up on removing the nanners. Didn't want to chuck a good plant just because she turned out to be an "it". It's up to you how to handle it.

With DP blueberry I'd be more concerned about a spidermite fuckfest than a couple nanners, hope your leaves arent dotted..

Greetings thegrower.

Blueberry is a very heat sensitive strain and also possesses a hermaphroditic tendency; especially the Dutch Passion IBL.

The degree of the hermaphroditic trait isn't severe in this case and should pose little difficulty in the overall success of the grow, however, I would recommend tighter controls on the temperatures, not only to decrease the incidences of the hermaphroditic trait, but also to increase potency, taste and yield. Unfortunately, Blueberry is one of those strains, where temperature significantly impacts all the fields previously outlined.

Consider (if not already), incorporating Fulvic Acid into your nutrient program. Its use greatly diminishes the negative impact of heat stress. If used in conjunction with Humic Acid, it potentiates flavour. The addition of products containing Silicon Dioxide (Silica), may also be of benefit if you intend to let the strain go for the full nine to ten weeks of maturation.

Sincerely,
Charles.

ok here are a bunch of pics, i cut off a few buds that had the most nannas formin, hopefully more dont start forming nannas... i also noticed on some buds the pistils had started to turn orange at the base, whats this indicative of? grrr

the nannas are only formin on one of the plants it looks like... are these capable of pollinating??

i see what ur sayin... whats the best thing to do if i dont want beans? Cut the entire nanna-bud off? try to pluck off the nannas [risky right? cause if they pop im f*cked?]

i dropped temps down to the 80F range, will this impede the formation of nannas or now that its started is it just going to get worse

I had one grow where 2 plants did that. But it was a few here and there. I gently plucked them off with tweezers and was bothered no more.

They had pollen in them, see?

Chill, grab some tweezers something to snack on, load a bowl, and get ready for some monotonous work.... go and start plucking 'nanas...

If you don't they will pollinate for sure.

argh im gonna have to do this tonight im leavin for a few days and dont want to come back to a garden of bean :(

I can see what looks to be the tip of nannas forming- should i wait til these are larger so i can pluck them clean off? How big do the nannas get before they release their pollen?
