Bagseed x NYCD X Sensi Star

Flipped the four F1 plants 11/5.

The three F2 xx's will get flipped when the
F1's show sex. Any male F1 gets culled.

The Sensi Star x nycd male has cuttings rooting.

WR 02 with seed doing well, all the plants in
flower got pollinated, the F2 03 02 seeds will keep
labled.

The F2 01 xx's get chopped sooner than later. As they seeded,
the profile will quickly reduce. Immature seeds get tossed.

Are the seeds from Zamaldelica x WR or Thunk x WR
even worth keeping, I wonder.

Cut the Z 01 and Thunk down today, they hit a wall, and I checked
the roots.

Roots no good, brown and very sad.

Here's the yield for the two F2 01's:

Rough Trim:

Wet weight just over 36g, so yield approximately 9g.

All four F1 plants female, plus the three F2 plants
will continue to flower a couple more weeks.

I'll flip the male sensi star x nycd a couple weeks after that,
depending on flower development

I'd like the flowering plants to be well along before pollination.

The F2 03 08 gets chopped as soon as the seeds are
mature, pollinated with the White Rhino.

The seeds from the F2 01's were immature, discarded.

The scent is just as strong as ever, will still be good
smoke, even though seeded.

Chopped the F2 03 08, seeded from the White Rhino.

Still frosty and strong cherry scent, will pop some of
those mucho poly hybrid seeds after a while.

Who knows what might flower from that mish mash
of genetics, lol

The sensi star x nycd male in flower is kicking in,
expect pollination in a couple weeks, right on time.

Exactly, transgressive segregants are found in the F2 generation of two unrelated P.

Hortipharm probably has the answers to some of these questions but it wouldn't be
in the financial interest of the corporation to share that info when there is the potential
for competition.

Here's the yield of the recent F2 03 02:

Trimmed, drying in a paper bag another couple days,
then into the jar.

The seeds will stay in the buds a couple weeks,
then I'll remove the easy ripe ones and put them in a sealed
container of uncooked rice.

The most ripe seeds are dropping out of the buds already,
a good sign they mature and viable.

Here is the Sensi Star x nycd male dropping pollen:

His cuttings haven't rooted yet, its possible this is the only
back cross to the remaining P1 if the cuttings don't root.

Back crossing to the F2 as well as the F1 this go around.

Stay tuned.

Here's the plants in flower:

The F2 03 02 is in back on the left. Purple leaves in cool weather.

The male is in front on the right.

All the female plants are seeded with the male sensi star x nycd.

He has since been chopped and his cuttings in veg are not
rooting well, fingers crossed for a good rooted one.

One of the F1 had a couple bananas, so her seeds will be bird food, lol

The remaining three F1's will provide enough seeds to help
refine the quest.

A total of six successful seeded females.

I now have possible future crossing of several combinations
with these chosen genetics.

F1
F2
F1BX1
F2BX1
and later,
IX of the F1 x F2 lines
IX of the F1BX1 x F2BX1

Then after selections of keepers I'll go to F3 and further
to attempt stability.

Figure another two years.

Very nice thread. I'm thinking more and more about setting up a little seed making cab to experiment with some personal strains. Good info here.

Your grows are real nice, I wish I had the height of your tents.

How tall is that tent of yours anyway, and what light watts too.
My max headroom is just shy of 28".

When you make crosses past F1 the most important,
efficient way forward is have and keep your goals
for the project.

The F2 plants will provide several different directions
to go in, in my case I want cherry stinky good bud.

I have selected for that and tossed at least 3 phenos
that showed other specific terpene profiles.

Cherry stinky good bud.

Also some White Rhino x White Rhino on deck for the same
crossing method employed to the bagseed x (sensi star x nycd)

Micro style, lol

Crap.

NYC Diesel x Sensi Star

The cross I document here states incorrectly the nycd is
the male donor in the cross obtained from Ed Borg.

Let it be known the male P1 is NYC Diesel x Sensi Star.

Meaning the male P1 employed here in this thread is
the result of a female nycd and a male sensi star.

I slouch corrected.

The tall tent I have is 6' if I recall correctly. I have right around 600 Watts in it right now, works well enough for a 3' x 3'.

The primary driver for me would probably be to retain certain genetics I really like and don't want to lose, so picking F1 phenos which lean towards the original parent would be something I'd try for.

A more extensive project I'd consider would be going past F1 to try and create a hybrid which meets my requirements and taste, trying to focus on a handful of traits perfect for my grow style and medical needs. Still learning a lot about the breeding process but I think eventually I can figure it out enough for my uses. High yield/potency is number 1 requirement and then flavor and high follows after that. Since I'll be looking for the ultimate mother plant, seed stability isn't the most important variable and selecting cuts should be a little easier.
