Wow amazing,
I am sure now.Better way is clonning straight in coco...
Anyways, nice updates.
Z 01 is looking delicious,
How looks transplanted F3?
Keep it green.

Some of my cuttings historically root faster in water, but
all new genetics get the coco test just in case. For Nebula,
I will take her cuttings direct to coco.

My known cuttings that fail in coco will root in water, go figure.

The F3 seedling is in recovery, so a little droopy.

Z 01 chop soon, scent is ripening, even if white pistols
show. This plant will continue slowly to make new flowers
if left potted.

All the lowers are ready, new growth is in the upper plant.

Nebula water cutting potted to coco.

Just smoked some of the culled F2 01, caramel hash taste with some
fruit in the back. Racy/up, like the sensi star, but levels out after
a few minutes. Potent 7/10, taste 7/10. Not a day ender, so decent
daytime smoke.

Pretty buds with purple mixed with the green, not the most sparkly,
but does have bag appeal. Medium to hard buds.

Not a match to the F2 03 03, which I rate at 9/10, 9/10.

Culling was a sound decision.

Yeah, It might be dependence of many aspects. As you know the best on your experience.I think clonning in the coco is better way than in water, becouse i am growing in the coco.I put in the hole things and just add some water, that is easy.

I have read that for some cuttings, an overnight soak
in plain water before potting in coco works well.

When I do pot fresh cuttings to coco I apply rooting
powder with indole-3-butyric acid to it.

Seems to promote the nubs quicker than without.

Do you use more than one method to get roots?

Yes I do.I use some hormone gel for cloning. After slide cut i add some gel on it than straight in coco. It;s working quicker than without gel/powder whatever. This medium has wide range of use.Rooting process is one of many advantages.I love it.Peace

Here is one tube:

picture.php

Its a toy bubble tube for kids, got it at a dollar store, four for a buck.

It looked like this before the hack:

picture.php

The wand pulls out, and I drilled three holes in the cap after trimming away the fob,
which will become the bottom of the unit.

Next I cut the rounded bottom of the tube away, which now becomes the top:

This is the unit:

I root up to six cuttings at a time, and my head room is short. The clear plastic cup
fits into my cutting caddies, three holes in each caddy.

The tubes are filled with fine vermiculite and the cuttings are scraped,
dipped in rooting powder and placed in the unit which has been poked
with a skewer before hand to allow the cutting to slide in.

Then each tube is placed in the small clear plastic cup that has about an
inch of water as a mini res for the vermiculite filled tube to wick.

Yup, no drooping.

With the individual tubes I can space the cuttings for airflow
and not be crowded.

Crazy strong roots and stems with all of the downstream plants.

Does the cherry come from the Hawaiian, I wonder, maybe Maui Wowee
in the original nycd stock?

I've been looking at Mr. Greengene's Cherry Bomb info posts, and
the thought occurred to me about the nycd stock.

Many speak of the nycd grapefruit pheno, not so much the cherry.

After I get to the stock that is mostly nycd, would like to cross
with some chem cultivars, maybe Verdant Green's stock.

Something like a cherry chem, I don't know...

btw barneys red dragon have this cherry smell too..

Here's the F2 03 02:

@26 days in flower, I count the day I flip as day one. Shows frost developing, cherry
scent coming in strong, this is a good plant.

@15 days, nice thick trunk. This is Fem version from Paradise,
not part of the cross project.

New cuttings of prospective F2 females in tubes, will flip
seed mums as soon as the cuttings root.

The F3 plant soon to take cuttings, no pre sex yet. She is
just for shits and giggles.

Chopped the Z 01, after buds are dry will attempt a cob cure.

Will document the results in the Zamaldelica thread.

The Z 02 cuttings failed, got sucked into the wet vac, oops.

Not gonna try, there is murky, musty water in the vac.

ugh

I run three 55W PL L in the flower box. I installed a Noctua 5" fan
to blow air across the bulbs, and much to my surprise the temps
rose to 95F in a couple hours. ambient is mid 70F.

Without the fan off, temps around 84F.

Will tape out one of the veg box intakes to offset the passive
intake ratio to see what's what.

goddammit

Heat issue, turned the Noctua circulating fan on and temps
went to 95F in a couple hours.

Ambient temp is 72F

No fan, mid 80's.

Will tape off one of the veg intakes to see what's what.
