Hey funker

You have the right idea to grow out what you have. genetics are a small part of the equation, you have to learn to grow first. No sense blowinga couple hundred on expensive seeds to make the same mistakes a noob does.

Your plants are still very young, you really dont see anything thicken up on them till about week 5 ish, sometimes earlier, sometime later.

Do not use my buds as an example, it is a strain I have grown for a while, and have been very lucky with them. a good grower has turned bagseed into primo buds many a time, and that is what you should be shooting for, before you dump a bunch of money on something.

Just have some patience and lets see what your plants do

@Dog - Thanks dude! I will be patient. It's just very hard considering my healthiest plant is producing waaaayyyy more than the runners up at this point. I will take your advice, though, and treat this as a practice run.

@spaceghost - Thanks for all of your help man! I have checked out the reveg thread in your sig which is giving me mondo inspiration. I'm working against a calendar, unfortunately, so I'll see how it goes. I can't give karma yet, unfortunatley, but you will be the first as soon as my post count is high enough!

See? This is what I'm talking about! More people should be doing this for the n00bs. Kill us with kindness I say, and we'll give kind back to the world!

...damn it reeks like weed over here! (that's a good thing)

Day 25 flower

I am pretty excited about where things are going. As you can see some are thickening up better than others.

Im going to end up culling the poo poo plant as its condition worsens. It will become a fine toking plant as I am out of green. The rest of the plants appear to be low on N and related nutrients. I've started reintroducing Grow Big to their diet along with flower nutes.

Jeez, just when I feel like I'm pulling ahead you come out from behind to swoop past me! Dang Funk, that top bud up there is looking reeeeeeeeeal nice right now. I don't have anything on my side to even compare to that. I'm sure Siskel and Ebert would give you two thumbs up! If not, I will... TWO THUMBS UP!! :rasta:

I believe I see signs of over heating on the plant in the bottom picture. This is denoted by the edges of the leaves curling up so slightly as in that picture. Perhaps the airflow in that area of your space is kind of lacking? If the last pic is the poo-poo plant, perhaps you may want to investigate. I'd hate to watch you lose a plant to something you could troubleshoot. I want you to harvest heavy brother, I really, honestly do :rasta:

@spaceghost - You're probably correct about the over-heating. I moved the light over break and they are starting to look a bit better. I also believe I may be underwatering them.

Day 30 flowering

The big, healthy plant is producing big, healthy results! I am very excited about this guy.

Had some N deficiencies (believed) thanks to folks at the Infirmary. Am now dosing pretty heavily each watering.

I ended up culling the poo-poo plant, which is currently drying. A few samples showed pretty good potency given they are 4 weeks old.

Day 34

Garden and lighting optimized. Chlorosis halted. Will be administering more bud formula in preparation for expected 6 week explosion.

Fox Farm Big Bloom.

Every so often I throw in some Tiger Bloom which is essentially micronutes and a bit of N.

Good choice

Are you running these 8 weeks? The reason I ask, is that you want to keep a week or two for flushing, get all those nutes out before you smoke it.

I have no idea how long they'll run, but I'm expecting about 10 weeks as their more sativa dom. The bagseed is quite a varied mix I've picked up over last year.

Do I need to flush even with organic ferts? I thought I'd be cool right up until the end?

Well that is up to you

I know the claims made by nute companies, but it is still something in teh plant that is not supposed to be there

I use alot of "organic" stuff, but I still flush, I want to taste the buds not teh additives

That is good. I use PureBlend Pro, which they claim is organic, it is not certified, for one reason or another. But If I dont flush I can taste and smell something "off" in the buds

It also really causes your fans to change color, and that makes for better pics, and that is why we are all here, because we like looking at bud pictures!!

Anyway, not to hijack your thread. Buds are looking good, I am looking forward to watching them swell

Thanks man :)

I'm also looking forward to them getting fatter. It looks like some of them are getting there. Here's a light-adjusted shot from today (34 days).

nice man...I'm also a bagseeder...we deffinately have to stick together...you never really know what you'll find from bagseed...especially if you find things you like and start making crosses...you may come across the next big thing..but those can all be pipedreams too..lol..my grow is now in my sig if it works right...I just now added it before this post..i'm at day 14 today..
