this is stress related being i have had ak47 from clone in my growroom for a long while and it always grew normal...i took clones and some of the clones went triploid and then once they grew out a bit they wwent back to normal.
The thing is the motherplant was no trifoliate but the spawn was.
Triploid I think would have to be tested to see if the 3rd chromosome is there? Dunno really, but interesting to say the least. Most triploids are male from what I read, not all.
I also observed only male triploids EXCEPT one, that i made seeds of (for future tests ) It may be stupid, 'cause I don't specialize in genetics, but it's so much fun Yah bless
I have a cross that was made from a blueberry female with this trait using a regular male of a different strain and it was passed on in about 25% or so of the offspring, have not had a chance to play with it or grow them out much really but plan to and want to stabilize it by breeding some male and females together showing the traits so the gene frequency increases. The female had three cola's at every node instead of two, other than that was totally "'normal", fast growing, potent, etc. I think bred right to the right strain it could be the ultimate yield enhancer per sq ft of space for obvious reasons. The male I used to pollinate it was a Sweet Tooth thank God.
The mother I made beans with long long time many moons ago had three water leafs from being just a wee hatchling. I really have to get some of it's offspring going next time I need some herbal meds, the last time I germed like 12 of them like 3 of them were triploids but never got to finish them or let them grow out as I was just checking germ rates and they were pretty good for being like 7 years old. I would love to fix this trait into an IBL we could call it Triple Berry!
