Hey everybody!

I"m moving "up" in the world finally!! Finally things are paying off for being high constantly. Finally can move up from my PC to a bigger box. Maybe I can still use the PC for clones...or a mom?!

Well, last few weeks i've been deciding to build me a cab. Finally got up off my ass now and got the stuff to make it. Dreams finally coming true.

Anyhow..I threw most of the rest of it together today. Put on a base coat of paint. Still got some lightproofing and some mouldings to put on and waiting on my TOT-LOCK and light/ballast in the mail. But for the most part..the bare desing and all the grunt work is done.

I"ve gotten to do mock up and everything. Works WONDERFULLY SMOOTH and went just as planned for the most part...

Let me start off w/ some pics...

***DRUMROLL PLEASE*** :bashhead:

This is a front view of the box while it is mostly closed. Now imagine a aquarium on top of it too!!!

This is the side view....pay attention to the holes at the bottom...

This is the back...notice the cord..and more holes at the bottom...

This is a fully opened view of the box....doors strong enough to stand on when layed down....just for those who are wondering...

Here is a closer view

Heres the MOCK UP cool tube/venting....(it all needs to be clamped in good yet..but that can wait till the last coat of paint goes on...

This is the box my ballast parts will be going into. Notice how the vent runs into the box and out the floor through the holes? Its gonna cool my light and my ballast while keeping it isolated from teh actual plants...

Here is the bottom of the box. NOtice the 2 seperate compartments. The one on the right is right under the ballast box...it vents out the bottom of the box and out the small holes in the side of the box that i had you pay attention to earlier....Yeah.....

Now for the left side...it INTAKES air in that side....through the holes. Notice the black PVC tubes as light traps.... The reason for the 2 different compartments underneat the box hidden was so i can secretly vent away air and take in air at the same time...while avoiding venting IN....hot exuasted air...

I think i'll like how it intakes through the floor....and goes UP!!!...hot air rises..i like this design a lot so far i think...

Closeup of light traps....braces...and the outside vent holes..

Alright..well thats my setup..i'll let you all drool for a while...(i am...waiting for my light).....

Let me know what you think.

*Edit* and before you ask... its 16" wide x 22" long x 34" high

i guess since its a floro i see in there, youll be using it for veg/clones. if not then you could more than likely fit a 100 or 150hps in there easy.

and wheres your carbon scrubber gonna go?

Oh..forgot to mention. I got a 150W CMH on the way to power this baby. I"ll be adding more cfl's for supplemental lighting as well once i get things up and running.

I'll be using it for veg and flower...the cfl that is in there now was just for mock up so that i could get a feel for things.

As for the carbon scrubber..i'll have it up by the ceiling i think..but i'm not gonna make one until i NEED one..i've so far been able to NEVER need a carbon filter during any of my veg's.....i'll add on when i need it or when I hit flower....i'll probobolly attach it to the other end of the cool tube.

Between water, gravel and other stuff, an aquarium weighs about 10 pounds a gallon. I'd suggest placing 200 pounds of weight on top and see how the door works before setting up the tank. Other than that, looks cool.

Innovative ideas there man, especially with the bottom of the cab, air inlet and outlet through the floor like that... I like especially how you drafted your ballast with exiting air. Nice work dude, that's something to be proud of. With filtration on the other end of the tube and the addition of an aquarium, I say you have a winner!

:kewlpics: Nice pics as well, really gives an understanding of whats goin' down... Helps out somebody like me that's been on these threads for the past week collecting ideas for my design!

Good post, Great box, Looking forward to seeing it in action!

Keep it easy, Caddy
