Well this is my first attempt at cloning. I'm not 100% sure that these are female plants but I'm almost positive. At any rate, I wanted to see if I could do it so here it is. If any of you experienced cloners out there see a big mistake please correct me as I want this to work.
Here are the jiffy pellets prior to wetting

Here are the jiffy pellets after wetting and excess water squeased out.

Useing this stuff to clone.

Here are the cuttings

Here we are after placing the cuttings in the jiffy pellets.

And finally the little cloning chamber

Now I placed these under a small flourescent light. How long do you guys think they should get light? 24 hours? 18? Less?
Any help would be appreciated.

Clone with 24 hours on. Keep your fluoro at least 12" away. See if you can offset the cup a little (1/8" or a couple mm). You dont want humidity at 100% in the cup when using that medium. That have a tendency to mold and/or cause stem rot. You may have to spray a bit more to prevent wilting, but probably not.

Good luck

Yeah buddy. Once you have cloning down, self sufficiency is much closer.

I've found much better success with clones since getting a heating mat for underneath, hopefully the success will continue as today while beginning to train a maybe 4" tall Oasis I broke the top third of the plant off, but hope it will take as a clone. I use, ironically, Oasis cloning solution and gel, into a dry cube with a liberal amount of gel on the shoot (yes, not an already moistened cube) and then saturate with the cloning solution before going under the humidity dome, with a paper towel over the top to dim the light initially (too much light initially drains the clone of it's very limited nutrient reserves for photosynthesis, when it needs to use them for rooting).
You'll find that temp and humidity are the determining factors, and i go 24 hours as well.

Thanks for the input guys. I've always wanted to try this But I've been afraid cause if you fail you ruined a bud site but if you succeed... Oh boy! I saw an other thread on here the fella had a perpetual grow thing goig using clones. Every month 2 ounces. Yeah thats what I'm talkin about. :D

Hey Cap, Excellent thread. I'll be right there with you when you re-start.
Too bad about the mites. I read another thread on here about those little buggers, dude said you can pick those up at the garden store. Seems a guy goes in that has mites in his garden, Mites get on his clothes, Mites jump off in the garden shop, you pick up a bag of dirt or something and take em home with you. Sucks. Fortunately, I've never had that problem.

That perpetual harvest is something I'd love to do. I'm all ready planning on getting some flouros to start a mother room. This one plant I took these cuttings from is awsome. She is short and bushy in the extreme, very vigorous plant and easy to care for.

Thanks alot for the help, you mad pot scientist you. :D
