I use a 4000K 1000w bulb, you need that kelvin color range to get results like this w/Mh
and i get very little stretch.

Those are the kind of plants I want to be growing. Not my runt.
you got a unlucky seed bro, you should have germinated a few more
out of 10 seeds, 1 died before it even rooted, another one got problems after 1 week and never grew normal again
the 3rd one is 45 days old and 4 cm high, this is a small plant considering its age
germinate some more seeds and forget about that retard
Damn that looks nice. So you don't use the 2700-3000k but you also don't use the 6500, you use 4000
4000k reduces stretch but gives enough red spectrum for flower, is that what you are saying?
for my seedlings in 16oz cups its hard to beat HO T5s with a 6400K spectralux bulb.
I get superior internodal stacking.

i keep the tops 2-3" from the bulbs with a fan running between the bulbs and tops

in veg I like using a higher K rated bulb like a sunmaster or solarmax 6400K-7200K
now I use an ultra sun 7500K Mh, costs around $42,
way cheaper than the other two i just mentioned.
for bloom i use the sylvania BT56 4000K... $21
you see what i get done with a $21 bulb.
Ive dropped the coin for the horti eye super HPS and the only thing good I can say about those is I got a
*GOOD AMOUNT OF STRETCH* LOL
my otibg stretched 6-8" while others using HPS were 2-3Xs stretch
haha... i think anyone with a green thumb who's used the solo cups is hooked for life
bad news they don't hav'em across the pond Core?
whats up with that???
as for MH in bloom 4000K is the only bulb to use,
I tried the other 6000K plus and it gives a crap yield... but top shelf product.
another thing is not all strains do well in MH and vice versa w/hps.
check out my thread on it......
it's become quite a debate and more peeps chimed in that i expected.
the best info is in the 1st 15 or so pages, after that the anti MH haters ramp up

and yes, T5s have produced AAA+ nugz.
check out a thread named T5 club...?
or something like that
yup... that'll do it core.
there's a *T5 club* thread here somewhere and they use flouro's to bloom in.
lots of nice buds bloomed under T5s
that would be the way to go imo, and lots cheaper all the way around
guess it would depend on the container size used...
i can fit 8 plants in 1-gal grow bags under 1 my 4ft 8 bulb T5 fixtures
so yeah, 4 sounds doable to me too

NIIIIiice! Those are so healthy they look like DWC plants.
I love my T-5's for veg. Great internodal stacking.
Squat, thick stems, to hold them big flowers.
