The article about the DNA Genetics Meat Grinder Hash was a collaboration with Aqua Lab Technologies. The meat grinder has its pros and cons.
The bad affect of the meat grinder is when you are passing High Quality Resin the heat from the machine starts to breakdown the resin to much causing it to be to oily. Making it more harsh to smoke and less potent. Also very hard to handle. I prefer to leave the high quality stuff alone and press it when I want to by hand.
When working with lower grades of resin the meat grinder works great. It helps work the hash to bring out the oils. Making for a more even blend of hashish, that looks like the old Black Afghani.
When "working hash" it is a process of turning resin powder into Hashish. Buy doing this you are breaking the resin powder (Trichomes) into there oil. Causing them to stick together and form a piece of Hashish. When you break the trichomes you are exposing them to oxidation causing them to turn darker over time.

Right to the point, love you work you see thinks clear, no barriers.

Much respekt

A ? how much did the flavors change from resin powder to sphagitti hashish

This is pure insanity...Oh my gosh... Hachis - when making hash like this, do you mix any of the micron sizes together? Could you do it with just 160 mic, or do you put everything in there....? Do you recommend using at least 1 kilo of hash to make it worth your whilel; would donf only a few ounces be too cumbersome?

also, the meximelt article was very interesting ... i noticed buds were in use, are there seeds in those nugs? If so, are there any ill effects...

Hachis - hopefully u have the same knowledge base as ilife on this thread... i spoke to a guy seling his restauant and offered him 500 for his meat grinder... he said no.lol but i cant get over this thread. its taking over my dreams jk.... but not really.... so i amy have to go back and give him $800, what do you think?

Hey Hash Man,

I talked with iLiFE about this.

When using a Meat grinder to "work" your powder hash into Hashish you can mix the different micron sizes together. Although it is preferred to keep the micron sizes separate. When using 73 µ most of the time it is better not passing it through the machine. If the resin is high quality most of the time it will decrease the potency faster by breaking the Resin glands and exposing it to air and light more.

For the amount needed it depends on the size machine and the amount you have.

You can find good commercial meat grinders that are more than likely cheaper and smaller. Try Smart and Final or stores like this.

For the Mexi-Melt project, seedless buds were used.

WOW: It really works

WOW: It really works

First of all, thanks to hachis for directing me to the truth, and iLife, this is the hash of hashmen lol.... Anyway, after reading hachis's post i went out and spent $120 on a villaware elctric meat grinder. At first i tried to put only some 120-160 micron in ther directly after turning the grinder on, not thinking that it needed to get hot, and it spit out a bunch of ground product... I thought, this cant be it, so i went to try the stickier stuff and realized it needed to "warm up" first....After that, thh 25 mic to 90 mic that i put in came out arguably my best hash ever..... I read the article about dna, you and the meat grinder....and they said they would " never do it agian" but i cannot see why, aside from the shelf life you put on the hash when working it...It melts more than any hash i have ever made.... Next, i tried a load of 120 mic to 190 mic and just dumped it in, and it came out a bit lighter, but is still really melty.... This is a large advantage over other methods of processing hash, as 190 mic is generaly considered cooking hash, although i suppose the product would be better if the 190 was left out, next time i will... Another thinkg is, when i make bubble from now on i am only using a 25 mic bag a 120 mic bag 190 mic bag and a 220 mic bag, ad thats it, because im just gonna dump it in the meat grinder from now on... I started with about 61 grams, 3 grams are somehow missing or stuck to the grinder blades still, which i will clean with alchohol and let evaporate later (yuk lol)... So i ended up with about 58 grams or hash, around 14 top quality, 14 middle, and the rest is dust or slightly pressed hash that i had to scrape off the sides.... Hachis, do yo have any tips on keeping the hash from caking up on the interior of the grinder....? and is there some reason that in the mexi melt article, the hash was smashed with a hammer first? With all the work that goes into pressing most of the time, i find this method to be the least work intensve, the easiest, and so far the best method i have ever tried.. I really dont know what to say....It means so much to me....Thanks Hash Man

Heres the 25 to 90 mic

Heres the 120-190

Heres the pile of leftovers... lol.... it still melts though....so its all good..

and heres the whole batch

Glad that you got it figured out Hash Man.

Yes letting the machine warm up in the beginning helps.

iLiFE would also like to get this straight: DNA Genetics aka "Bill & Ted" did not have anything to do with the Mexi-Melt project. They were given access to the photos and part of the story for a article in Soft Secrets. Other than that they did not have anything to do with the Mexi-Melt. They just helped get the article published for that they used there company name all over the article.

When working with High Quality Resin that you can press between your fingers, it is best left unpressed until the time the user wants to press it.
When running High Quality Resin through the Meat Grinder, it will often make it into a oil texture making it very hard to do anything with.

If you do not have to clean the machine, I would just leave the Resin stuck to the machine. Next time you use it just let it heat up really good before passing anything through it.

The hammer was used to break up the bigger pieces into smaller pieces so they could pass through the hole in the grinder.

Good Post Hash Man, glad that you used this method and have the chance to experience your own Meat Grinder Hashish!!!

Yes I think you are really High Apollo13 and are not reading my posts correctly.
Because I am not iLiFE / Aqua Lab Technologies.

I have met iLiFE personally and have learned alot from iLiFE and have great respect for him.

iLiFE is somewhere in South America taking a relaxing break from LiFE.
