Autoflower switch on 12\12 after showing sex?

I was thinking to "veg" an auto,till pistils show(feminized) ,than put in in my friend's tent who will be switching the lights 12\12 to flower his grow.He has better light ,more space and good vent ,the thing is he'll be on 12\12 until i catch up.I know that autos prefer 18\6 throughout ,20\4 ,even 24\0,never heard of 12\12/Has anybody done an auto 12\12 in flowering?thx

They will do just fine, expect them to turn out abit smaller than they normally would and the yield will be less aswell

Hi Sandnut ,thanx for the reply.
Smaller would not be a problem ,my space is i foot wide and 2 feet high ,and I ll be using a 5 liter pot(was planning to do a micro anyway and flower with cfl).....would they yield better under my 18\6 cfl or my friend's 12\12 hps?

In my opinion Cfls makes way less bud, unless you stack them to a crazy high wattage and even by then you would never get nugs as tight & compact like under HPS, even under 12/12. Starting them under cfl's 20/4 light untill they sex and then under the hps should be fine if thats an option, either way good luck!
