well considering its your 1st grow you will probably know best

also i noticed you were growing with cfl if you look in my diary blue chedda at the begining of the thread you will see that i was using a 300 watt dual spec and also a 250 watt red spec cfl and both lights were 2-3 inches above the plants.

i have done full gows in the past with these lights and know for a fact that you can get them really really close without any serious impact, infact id go as far to say that the closer you get them the better because of the amount of lumen that disperse the higher the lights are and the penertration aint all that good with them

having your lights to high has caused stretch and you will end up withy airy buds and not proper formed nugs i know because i have grown the same way in the past just trying to advise you mate

i wasnt saying i know best i was stating that i have had heat problems therefore why the leaves are curled , and for a fact i have had the lights that close to the plants for the whole grow hence why i have the tallest one tied down thanks for your info thou i will see what i can do to get them closer and being my first grow as in with autos i been smoking the stuff since i was 12 mate im 27 its a weed it needs air water and light it will grow under almost anything

we have all been battling high temps in the uk over the past month ive felt my arse twitch a few times when i checked the res temps in my bubblers and thought o shit,but a few tweaks here and there and i managed to pull through

i dont know what setup your using or where you are growing and what ventalation you have but cfl should not cause any problems when setup properly infact its 1 of if not the easiest growing light you can use, i know you wont get massive yields but they do create smokable bud,

you should get that light right on top of your plants and have a fan blowing between the tops and the light in extreme heat conditions

obviously like any grower you wanna get a nice reward from your efforts so im just trying to help you in that direction as i have grown with cfl for the past year

and by the way plants need nutrients i didnt see you mention that lol

skotty thats cool made i got some bio bizz on the way i havent got a carbon filter so im not sure think its because as u say its been really hot in the uk , so i can have my 300 right up close to my plants i have a an already blowing inbetween with tent open for ventilation

there is no point to cloning autos as you cannot revert them to veg stage so it would be pointless to clone.

A good point,but we dont know that if nobody has ever cloned them do we.Better yet what I ment was we dont know how they would react if roots were established.

They have been successfully cloned, multiple times. AS stated before, it serves no purpose, as they flower at the same rate as the seed plant, and would just be inhibited in the yield department.

Red Dwarf and Hindu Kush now curing

Hi all,
This was my first grow, and I used LowLife Hindu Kush and Big Budha red Dwarf seed I ordered from Attitude.

Things I learned:
1. MORE LIGHT - I had a 150watt HPS in a tent..except for one Red Dwarf I kept on the porch.
2. I have had a Red dwarf curing for ~10 days now...it still smells funny. And yes, I did flush it.
3. Red Dwarf's had phenotypic variations and did very crappy in the tent.
4. Hindu Kush did much better in the tent.

I have no smoke reports yet...
My Red Dwarf from the porch weighed in @ 23.6g on Day 7 of cure.

Dont have any experience but i got the seeds myself since they are feminized i will be pollinating it with my Fruity, a strain i crossed myself
