Careful of that that twistie! Don't strangle it! I can't really tell if the tie is all the way around it...If'n it is I'd just prop it up instead of applying a chokehold
To get good strong seedlings you need: good lighting (I use a cfl about 2 inches (5cm if you like the metric sys) away from them), a little fan to provide a breeze (really helps to strengthen up the stem), and pure water (till the seed leaves die).
You might want to plant the seed a bit deeper next time (but not much).
Anyhow that one looks poised to start a glorious life!

hi Anima, thanx for the advice! havn't done too many seeds, so all advice is very welcome!
Nah, the tie is just a prop, shes not being strangled that picture doesnt show the gap on the other side of the stake.
Once the clones leave that floodtable, she can suck up all the light she wants. ill lower the fluro for her for sure.

yeah, she could have been planted deeper, but i was worried she might get stem rot if the water was coming up that high on her?.... opinion on this?...

she will be planted deep into the Solo Waterfarm when its her time to be a mommy for sure. thanx for the advice. keep it coming!

Rkrone: yes she is! lol.. she probably wants more light, but at this moment, i cant do anything about that, as i need to buy a new 600watt HPS for my third room asap.

once again though, im not too worried about how stretchy this seedling gets, as it is her clones im after...
i will mention the first girl that didnt make it, was even taller!

i already have a good feeling this pheno is better than the first one i picked.

Yeah seedlings seem to take forever but they're like kids, you go away for a month - "Hey, I remember when you were this high---

I got some I'm willing along now. They like the greenhouse. Building a new setup with DWC ebb and flow side by side for comparison. Won't be accurate off the seed grow but clones'll tell a story on the next round. Got half way through it all today so not far away to crank it up. With wee seedlings hehe.

Now, making this bumper crop of Arjans Haze #3. Tying it up doesn't fool me, that's cheating.

well crap. i just went and took some pics of Haze#3 in her new Waterfarm home... and somethings wrong with with uploads right now... so i guess youll have to wait 1 more day.

she now has her 2nd set of true leaves, and looking decent.

Good Luck NZjay! I'm really looking forward to seeing how this little lady turns out. I keep hearing so much bashing of GHseeds that i like seeing growers experiences in real life. I originally started out with a GHS seed catalogue in my bathroom in the Netherlands about a year ago, and out of all the options, chose the same strain as you. In the end i wasn't able to afford it, and was also deterred by the flaming and such. I want you to have good results though, so best of luck NZjay! P.S. they definitely need more light, as the more enegry goes into stretching, the longer it will take to get any real leaves or branching.

i guess i was kinda lucky, and didnt hear all the GH bashing until i started this thread.. quite simply put though, who cares?... its ME growing the plant, not them.. lol.
i would give ANYONE $100+ if they could give me some killer strain seeds... after i get the seeds, my buisness with the company i buy from is over when i recieve my seeds. GH had them here in LESS than a week. impressed.. ive waited over a month with other companys.

the rest is up to me from here on out. ignore the flames and cry baby haters i say... i know they wont be saying anything when i show off this plant
as for the light, that was only a temporary thing, as i had to buy a new 600watt/ballest/hood.. which as of now shes been under a week, and loving it.

will be back to hopefully give those pics... but my other thread is more interesting right now, so ill be updating that one first. lol.

Hydroton won't hurt seedlings put it in gentle.

My seedlings are suffering as I cleaned tank and all the algae I cleaned off no longer assists in holding pH down...

Out with the vinegar today, hope I save em.

Hey man, been a while, life has caught up with me and I haven't had as much free time as I would like to focus on what's important, watching other peoples grows! . My grow also went fairly sour, 1 hermie, 2 weak plants with the mouldies, 1 strong plant with the mouldies and the two I harvested are fairly weak, but it will get us by for the winter .

Can you hurry your haze up though? I'm pretty stoked to see what comes of her . In my first batch of seedlings I had a few that were coming up like yours, strechy, gangly and needed tying. I kept putting the seedling into bigger pots and burying the stretched part under medium... they all died so I wouldn't suggest that approach . Seriously, I'm beginning to think I'm the kiss of death for plants, a green-reaper if I may, and not cannabis liberator as I first thought .

I'm now off to see how your urkle waterfarm did (or is doing). good luck brother .

well, some bad, and somewhat stupid news.
thankfully, i can happily say i didnt pay for the seeds, and it wasnt my fault... so i shouldnt give a shit, right?.... *sigh*

"SP" and his chemicals strike again, and after Haze was looking great, he threw her into a Waterfarm too early, and then severly lacked her feeding with N def.
for some reason, i thought we had agreed to wait and put her in a solo bucket by herself... but i guess he just couldnt wait and did what he wants to do...

go figure.. its now dead. and with all the other shit going on right now, theres no time to try again with her right now.

i apoligize for SPs **** up, as i was looking forward to seeing what this girl could do as alot of you were. so this thread will die off.. and maybe one day, when im with someone (namley: myself) with the patience to grow a seeding i will reopen this thread...

until then, i just gotta do what i gotta do, and think "oh well" when really, it F@W#$%^ bothers me when SP doesnt listen.....

Sorry to hear that, was interested to see how that long necked little bugger was going to work out. You've got a better record than I though, I've killed 25 seedlings this year alone. Most were free f2's, but there was some nice parents in that package that I would love to try now (mango being one). It didn't hurt at the time, but hindsight gives me pangs of pain every time I think about all those great genetics gone to cannabis heaven. At lest they will have good company with your little arjan's up there beside them . Wonder if people are allowed in cannabis heaven? I hope so.

Let me know when you get a chance to sprout another.
