Are You Happy? And, what is happiness to you?

H

hard rain

I've found I am happiest in nature. A long hike up a mountain is one of my real pleasures in life, or sitting on an ocean headland watching the sea.

Although I'm a bit of a loner, some groups of people make me happy to be around.

Being truly in love, although that eludes me at present.

I try not to base my happiness on things or other people.

That's not to say things and other people don't make me happy and also sad, but I try.

When I was younger, I spent a lot of time just living life and taking care of my family. Now, I have the luxury of time. That makes me happy.

But the secret is

Dogs. Dogs are the source of all goodness and light . . .

Happiness is overrated imo. Contentment is far more important to me than chasing 'happiness'. Happiness that comes because of x or y. But being content without needing x or y in the first place is where i'd like to be.

i think happiness is that how you like and accept yourself but also what you are right now. happy people do not compare themselves to others. good memories and feelings from a past will give positive life-energy aswell.

if mind and body is hurted badly it is still possible to find happiness but it's very hard and almost invisible illusion to see. i hope those people do not keep staying in a darkness and try to make other people feel worried or scared or something like that. bad power is weird thing it just flows to the other and other. be strong and stop that circle. good things makes both happy, you and the other. make love not war.

maybe happiness is actually that you do not live in a 'want-something-more' dreams but like to get it if gived or needed and still maybe not. in a many ways giving is a big answer when it comes to happiness and smiling. talk listen cry laugh help give teach stop to the moment and see how beautiful this world is. be in this moment.

i wan't my happiness back and it's almost only thing which keeps me alive. i do not have much but now when i think i have that all. freedom, flat, food, water, family, health, heart, soul, feelings, senses, surrounding nature and much much more.

happiness is also learning but sometimes happy people do feel shit aswell. only which just matters is how you handle and take it.

Happiness is a state of mind. Plenty of millionaires who commit suicide. Plenty of dirt poor people who have never even considered suicide.

Hard rain, nature is definitely helpful. Nothing changes my mood than sitting by the lake. Catching a few fish definitely helps, along with a few grams of good fungus.

I survived 3 operations and chemo for bladder cancer. I now have a bag hanging from my stomach that I have to empty every 2 to 3 hours, but I am alive and can enjoy my sons, wife and grandchildren. Also started my garden the first of the month. Mosca seeds and Nirvana. Ganja is good for us old people.

Happiness to me would be to sleep for 7 hours a night insomnia Sucks.

I see everywhere lots of things like how to manifest money. The secret
Its all about material things. This don't interest me. Just being here and being able to sleep normal 6 maybe 7 hours every night would be
Enough to keep me happy. And maybe a cpl of plants growing happy days ahead for Sure

I think I can only have happy "moments". An entire life can't be summed up with an emotion like happiness. If you spend your whole life pursuing happiness, you will inevitably feel unfulfilled.

Most of my happiness lately comes as a result of seeing the world thru the eyes of my 9 year old son and 11 year old daughter - All those wonderful discoveries in life you first made - and the feeling of seeing them again for the first time thru your children's eyes - is wonderful -

Can you remember the first time you saw snow - or a robin? - climbed an apple tree and fed a swan? - and what you first felt 50 years ago - you relive once again - and see the emotional responses of a child - which you once were - and it makes me happy - that feeling of generational deja'vu -

There are threads here for that. Start in the edibles area. My trick is AVB butter cookies.

As for kids, I agree. Best is someone else's kids. I have a pic on my fridge of kids fishing in the ponds with grins ear to ear. Makes me happy, makes the dawgs happy too cause they also like kids..

I never did any of those things. I remember seeing my first rape. My first murder. Saw a guy bleed out from a knife fight and die. All while I was a child. Shortly after that, I killed my first human. Barely a teen.

Not a whole lot in my childhood that I want to remember. And, I sure as fuck don't want to re-live it through my children, or any one else's. LOL

Besides, I hate kids. They are loud, stupid, unruly, disrespectful and they smell funny. Well, infants do. Kids loose the shit smell after a while.

The sound of children playing on a school playground is like nails on a chalk board to me.

I really don't like people in general, but kids are exceptionally annoying.

I found a full jar of my favorite tasting strain (Strawberry Banana) that I had forgotten about. This made me happy.

I feel much the same about people.

They are just.. soo great. The ones that seem to understand how short this trip is..

Everyone else.. just stinks. 99 in a hundred people could spontaneously combust for all I care.

Still as happy as a lark over here bangin' out this hungarian rhapsody, and hell nor high water could take that away from me.

Maybe - you never had a chance to be a kid - and regret that - sounds like you had a rude awakening to life during what should have been your childhood - in many ways I did to - but prefer to remember and relive the simple things that made me wonder about life - in all its beauty - when I was a lad -
