Are my plants ready to flush? (Magnified Pics inside)

Whats up everyone! So my plants are supposedly starting their 7th week of flower and I'm wondering if I should start flushing? The trichs look mostly cloudy but there are some with amber. The photos are pretty representative and I took them with an attachable magnifying glass.
I potentially may have missed when they actually flowered and they can be any combo of either red congolese, strawberry banana, or golden pineapple. They were bag seed from some top shelf but I forgot to label.

One other question I had is that I'm not sure but I think my plants may be starting to herm? I accidentally cut a small bud from the middle of the plant and when I was trimming it some brownish grey powder came out of what looked like a calyx. I looked all over but I couldn't find any bananas.. What do you guys think? Thank you!

I forgot to mention, I want to do the full 2 week flush. This is my first grow and I THINK that its time but I read that since its the first grow, wait 1 or 2 weeks longer than I think so idk lol

I wouldn't worry about flushing a bunch of water through them but rather cut off all feed and give them just water til the end of flower. Maybe we are on the same page there? I think it's the right time to go just water.

Regarding the brown/grey powder I'd be more worried about budrot instead of herm flowers. Inspect them carefully and make sure there isn't any Powdery Mildew or Botrytis (Bud Rot) cropping up in the nooks and crannies of your colas.

Yeah by flush I meant just cut off nutrients and go just water. I think the plant on the right is a little further along so I'll start that one first and then next week start the other.

I didn't see any budrot but then again I'm not that experienced. I see plenty of crystals though. Hopefully there's no powdery stuff being camouflaged by the trichomes. I usually wait 3-4 days between watering and use 2 gallons each time so hopefully they isn't conducive to mold or rot.

One other noob question that I could probably find by searching but would value the expertise here is, am I supposed to let the plant soil go dry before harvesting or can I water the night before or a couple nights before? It probably doesn't matter but I want to maximize my results and impressi people with my bud  lol

It won't matter either way if you water before harvest or not, It will just take longer for the plant to dry out after chop. Normally if I can help it I let the plants get a little droopy before chop.

They are ready to be flushed.

I also wait 4 to 5 days after the last watering to harvest.

This cuts down on water weight, less chance of mold and they dry faster.

You look about 2-3 weeks out IMO.

I daily drip my outdoor ladies, and when harvest time comes, nothing changes. I like a slow, long cure. No reason to cut off the water unless need a quick dry, IMO. Many ways to skin a cat.

Yes, I should have clarified. It depends on where the plants are getting hung up to dry. My area is the crawlspace next to where they are grown so I like there to be just a little on the droopy side when they are cut.

Thank you thank you. I'm going to be using a 4x4 gorilla grow tent to dry these girls so hopefully that works out well.

I cut a piece of leaf from the top most bud of the strawberry banana and I noticed that the base of the trichs are turning purple. Can anyone tell me if this due to genetics, temps, or is this something to be concerned about?

You guys are all awesome. Love this forum. Contemplating a guerrilla grow from all the reading I've done and the fun experience these two little backyard plants have given me 😆

Guerrilla grows can be fun and they can be Hell.
The more planning you do. The easier things get.
Still anything can happen.

So I just noticed that a couple buds have these tiny smooth brown spots on the inside part of the smaller flower leaves on some of the top of the buds. One leaf in a bud also was a little dead. Does this sound like bud rot starting to form?
On the bud that had the dead leaf I just went out and started poking around and found a caterpillar and little egg looking balls really small. I took the caterpillar out and I'm about to go chop that bud off and have a closer look. Sucks as its one of the bigger buds but hope its ok and I can dry and smoke it lol

Alright, went down to the stem of that bud and there was no bud rot lookinh things.
Should I cut the other buds with the tiny brown spots? They're really small and only looks like its forming on the blade of the tiny bud leaf. Doesnt look like it comes from the stem area but rather the leaf itself. It was too dark to snap a pic but I'll try to get one in the morning..

I don't see anything worth cutting buds off
First few pictures look just like your pistils changing there color
Last one appears the leaf trics are browner but nothing to worry about

It looks as if its the trichs in the pic but in person you can see the color is coming from the leaf. The bud that I cut off had a dead leaf and that one had a caterpillar thay drilled through that leaf stem. I caught that before it ruined the bud and its drying now. 23 grams wet lol.

Hopefully that was the only caterpillar and these are normal and just a coincidence

More bad news. Found a herm. Maybe I let her get too dry. I did read though that there is a certain breeder of strawberry banana whi has herms pop up quite often. This must have been from that breeder. I chopped the branch off completely.

I may end up emergency harvesting both plants in a few days if I see things getting worse.
