Are brass fittings ok to use?

Nitric acid is a common ph adjuster, and sulfur, ammonia (NH3), and some sulfur and
NH3 compounds do occur in hydroponic solutions. it's not going to cause problems or even start corrodeing overnight, but it will eventually. and i didn't have to go to college to learn that.

My current and past hydro systems have brass in them, never ever been a issue. other than being a bit duller in color there is no corroding whats so ever

you can make bulkhead fittings from parts at home depot... in the electrical isle..
