The weather up here is kinda whack in the summer. It bascally never gets dark enough for 3 months and due to this fact, my plants got 3 months of vegetative growth and about 6 weeks of flowering once the sunlight hours started to drop.

They started flowering about mid september and I had to harvest at the end of october.

Average temps in the summer is somewhere around 25-27 degrees celcius (77-80 F), sometimes hotter but once autumn starts kicking in the temperature drops fairly quick and we get a lot of rain. The temps dropped down to 5 degrees celcius (41 F) the last week and I got them harvested at just the right time.

Basically I need to grow ruderalis/autoflower or fast/early strains to get a harvest but I was lucky this time.

Here's a few more pics

NLxHaze

Blue Mystic

a few more Shiva (no ruderalis parentage as far as I know..)

A Snow White that I had to havest a few weeks earlier than the others due to mold

Soul Fertilizer,

Thnanks for the info. and for showing us some wonderful pix of your plants! I considered getting Blue Mystic; I had no idea that strain got so bushy! The island pic speaks for itself~simply awesome!

Good luck with your harvest!

Great plants and beautiful location. I'd have to recommend Greens' Guerrilla Gold and variations thereof. Many phenos will finish by Sept 15.

excellant looking plants.... island looks liek a quiet paradise for growin!

Just wanted to ask ...

i see you have several diferent nirvana varities. I recently purchased 10 diferent nirvana strains, never grown them out before, still waiting for them to come

are there noticable 'visible' diferences strain to strain?

smells, etc?

or do they all look like the strain listed crossed with skunk #1, as someone else mentioned the other day?

peace to you

thanks I rather like the location myself.. very fertile ground

there are some variation between the nirvana strains but like you said many of them are Skunk#1 crosses so... But you can see a difference between their NL and say shiva for sure. But there is also a variation within particular strain. But it's hard to say since soil and sunlight affects this too.

But I grew their Citral also and it smelled different than the others..relly nice lemony scent. Blue mystic had a really nice fruity smell and was very sticky. I actually grew 2 of them and only one turned blue.

All together sturdy and nice plants

I got to check out that Guerillas Gold, but since daylight drops to 12/12 around mid september here and thats when flowering starts, does it have time to finish in 6-8 weeks by say the end of october?

The problem is the photoperiod outdoors at higher latitudes (earth tilted on it's axis and all). In the beginning of summer the photoperiod is something like 22/2, 22 hours sunlight and gradually drops to 12/12 by mid september. By late october-early november it's already getting too cold and dark.

check out this daylight chart for 60 degrees north...

Awesome plants......60 deg...damn you are far north. That is great that you can find strains that will finish in such a short period of time. Congrats on making your own smoke for the long winter ahead.

Awesome pics, the island shot is amazing, I've got a little spot offshore picked out for this coming spring, I've always wanted a garden I had to paddle to :D That snow white is huge, what did she wind up weighing in at?
