Arching plants----> two root masses

Captain Jack, My apologies for the name calling.
I was totally out of line.

I don't usdually go off like that. But I have seen a couple of your posts now, where if someone is growing with anything but perfect conditions, or in this case, considering an alternative idea, you dispell the method or conditions.

Taking grow conditions to the next level, or attempting something unorthodox doesn't always result in a favorable outcome, sometimes we even scrap our plants along with out failures.

By not trying, we can't honestly determine what will impove the plants performance.

I guess I'm used to interacting with growers, that aren't afraid to experiment and exercise new techniques in an attempt to improve upon a grow. If we never push the boundries, we never learn new methods and move ahead.

your right jack about being a waste of time inside. but whatr type of yeild it will have outside is tottaly different, plus i think another benefit would be less visits for a outdoor guerilla grow cause there would be far less visits cause this plant will have multiple rootmasses to draw water and nutes from.if someone already pointed this out ,sorry .and stop arguing just learn somthing :lurk:

well i for one am real sorry to see capt jack turn into a salty Mofo, kiddies askin stupid fookin questions that are easily searchable, are a pain, but everyone started anew. and as tiresome as it may seem, i always try and add productive input for the grower.

from my perspective i have seen you CJ go from a kind decent person to what can be described as a know it all, and slingin putdowns towards growers not in the know, or have the experience you have. makin fun or snide remarks towards them. have even seen ya go off on richard williams for no reason what so ever.

maybe step off a bit and give some peeps a break. im sure they would feel better with some help and explanation.

and quite a few growers here have been growin in a guerilla style along the lines you guys are talkin about. we bend the plant LST style to the ground as it grows, we put a pile of soil on the stem to keep it close to the ground. as the plant grows we continually poll the plant to the ground and hold down with a rock or limb, or pile of soil.

the part of the stalk touchin the ground will grow roots. so all along the plant you will have root zones. we have not found it to increase yield as the plant is only growin what root mass it can no matter if its along the plant or al at the bottom.

but is great for camo, an we have camo nettin we roll out over the plant while it grows. sorta a outdoor scrog

Forgot to add this : YOU GUYS NEED TO CHILL THE FUCK OUT.. SMOKE A JOINT.. preferably a huge one.. :D

I presented a similar idea long time ago, and didn't get any response. Almost all plants do this. I first saw it in tomatos. Its a great idea, but more effective would be digging a bigger hole for the plant. Not that the idea has no use, just it requires too much work, and too much goofin about, to actually be effective at increasing yield.

CJ, sorry you had to go...try a chill pill.

Everyone else, thatnk you for stopping by and adding helpful insight. Most of you have said this "LST" or whatever meathod would not be worth it as it takes too much effort. I am so intrigued by the concept though, I plan to do a test this summer to see for myself. i know a spot Ive thought of growing in before...pure prickerbushes. I thought it wouldnt work to grow there (the mj would grow taller than the pricks), but this meathod would be perfect for that spot.

I appreciate the positave imput, feel free to keep it coming :)

instead of buying a $400 Roor, my roomate the crazy bastard rounded up some seltzer bottles, clear plastic cups, duct and electric tape. Made a ash catcher from a, empty pill bottle-> nice round hole on top for my slide. Now weve got a tripple perculating bong with ash catcher for free, or the cost of the hose we stole from my hookah. Im fucking wrecked...;)

just saw that guy in tv with the huge fro who paints, his name escapes me. inrspired....

thats the berry patch, theres some nasty shit in there...not looking forward to it :( It is my estimate that the plant will grow up from the budsights if bent down early enough like this. the color would still be noticable, but the shape would be unrecognisable.

clear and blue

came across a thread the other day where the guy wants to do this to satisfy "the madscientist" in him. indoor scrog pulling all secondary branches down and dipping in rooting gel to make a spider shaped plant.

im sure hes going to go through with it so if youre interested THE THREAD IS HERE (starting 2nd page)

thanks cb, thats pretty much the same stuff im talking bout.

just wanted to clarify if i know whats going down...

first pic i know would work, but the second is what confuses me...the top of the original plant is in the ground here, if i cut at the top of the arch, will the 2nd, new plant grow upward, or backward in this case? it would be like instead of growing from the top up, it would grow from the bottom up....confusing I know does anyone know what im talking about?

Thankms
Uhana
