Most excellent photo Max!! She colors up nice outside it seems...

Well, I went 63 days and the nanners on Arcata weren't viable yet. There was no pollen. I'd love to have some to work with from this cut. We'll see...

Arcata TW is nothing like Williams Wonder, in my humble opinion. I've grown both.

There is also an "Alaskan Trainwreck" different from the Arcata cut.

Those cured nugs look great stretch, salivating over here... are they meaty smelling at all? I have about an oz of that norcal TW cut that is about 90 days cured... looks a lot alike, smells like salami and pine trees (to me anyway). We'll have to compare some day :)

Peace to all,
m

Steelers brother, they are dank foul smelling nugs. Like ethereal helped me with Dr J's quote:

"like a mentholated dead whale dipped in lemon flavored gasoline"

It smells like this on the vine, after the cure (a little "spicier" but still there) and the lemony-menthalish translates to taste pretty well for me.

Head smoke. Makes my eye lids droopy as can be but I still have energy...

Let's set something up.. I'll drag H&L with me...

Brosefs,

I had both cuts for a long time, but never got to flower the arcata... one day i got up and it was totally dead... the only plant in the garden... was weird... so i never got to run it.

as far as the norcal goes. i lost that one in the great power failure of 06... i had flowered my mother out and took some cuts, but the power went out on the aero and i lost a few specimens... schrom was another casualty... schrom is all day tho... know a few peeps with that one. but the norcal is no more...i dont even know who might have it nowadays...

hopefully in august we can do the comparison... should be calmed down by then on my end... i'll still have the norcal cured so at least that will be there for the test. i'm going to have quite a bit of pers... bunch of other stuff to sample.

peace - m

ah, that sucks to hear m. you are the only one ive seen with the 'norcal' cut, i cant wait to see how it stacks up to the arcata. the arcata cut is very nice, i just wish the aroma translated to the taste a little bit better. there should be heavy sampling all around bro, cant wait! :)

Have you grown it with just bat guano tea and no bottled nutes? It tastes just like it smells that way

well now have a few arcata tester nugs to try with the norcal nugs ;)... from appearance, there are close similarities for sure... seems like the norcal has a little bit more leaf but the pistils are the same color.... the arcata smells brighter and more lemony.. the norcal smells deeper more of the meaty side... keep in mind the norcal is a 70 day run vs the arcata 63 day job. I have some other theories, but need to sit down and do the true comparison. thanks stretch yo da man.

Those buds in the pics were grown in rainbow mix too. It was given tea twice, once in the 4th week, once in the 5th week. Buds that are never fed, just having really nice soil, always taste better IMO.
