apartment inspection

hello.
got a call today from my landlord,and she wants to come by and look at the place.today..monday.
i have 6 plants in a HBXL...all between 2-3'.22 days into 12/12.
i plan on tearing down and boxing everything up...the equipment.
now,with the plants i plan on using big black garbage bags.placing the pots inside..sealing them.then laying the plants on their side under my bed..
queen size...and their 3g pots.
also im going to clean the crap out the apartment..so when she walks in nothing but pine-sol.

i have no other options at this point,except to off them.but i dont want to do that.

i think it should work..what do you guys think??

Used to live in apartments years ago.....then co-ops....same B.S.: lots of landlord interaction......general inspections, fire inspections, preventative spraying for pests, access needed to my place because the superintendant needs to fix something for another tenant......totally off the hook....lack of privacy. SUPER-ULTRA-HYPER-LAME-O!!!

Here's what I'd do bro:

1) Get all your equipment boxed up right quick.
2) Take your plants and bag them up as you specified.
3) Get lots of plug-in air fresheners to cover the entire apt...all bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen.
4) Purchase possibly an ion generator, ozone generator, etc. (If feasible and affordable)
5) Purchase possibly an air cleaner. (If feasible and affordable)
6) Be there for all periods of time during the inspection (take the day off if possible!!!)
7) Cook while you're there....fry up things like onions, garlic....fish...whatever....
8) If your stuff is under the bed....I'd make sure your bedroom was kind of cluttered with boxes and such all around the place which would make it really difficult to look under the thing.....make access very difficult and make it so that it's unlikely they are going to dig around for very long in someone's "messy" bedroom.
9) You may want to take a plant or two outside into your car all bagged up if possible. The best thing you can do is remove all potential sources of odor while they are inspecting.

P.S.-These suggestions are for today, and especially for any future "drop-bys" from the landlord or their cronies. You should be prepared for regular chapping...at least 1x per year.....that's the usual schtick when living in apts.

yes it is very lamo living in an apartmant.
actually its a condo.and i rent from the owner.so i dont have to deal with a management co.
and my LL is pretty cool,but not cool enough to leave my plants out.
ive lived here 3 years and this is the first inspection ive had.
the only filter i have is a carbon can filter,LL may say wth is that thing if she saw it out.but i plan on making some blt sandwiches right before she comes by.and i think theres no reason for my LL to look under my bed.i have a big blanket that covers the whole bed to the floor,so LL wont see anything.and i am going to get some plug-ins in a little bit.

wth is going on with ur landlords hello? why are they going to take a look at ur OWN ROOM?
is it just me who misunderstands this whole scenario or..?
i mean.. u pay for it, its ur own thing what u do in there?? its atleast like that here where i am located at.................... and also where i lived before... cross the border..

When I was in an apt the management only inspected the kitchen, washer/dryer, and air conditioning. If anything was wrong in a bedroom the tenant had to inform maintenance. It was still nerve racking growing there.

well it is her property.and she hasnt seen it in a while.maybe she will look around,maybe she wont.but im not going to take a chance.better safe then sorry.
i know for a fact though she will want to at least take a quick look into each room.and if she sees a big black box with electrical cords,and ducting coming out of it she might question it.

Yo for future reference check your lease but by law the land lord has to give you 24 hr notice atleast. I have yet to see a lease that doeasn't have this in the terms. You can always tell them you needed the notice. Again I don't know what your lease says but i would never rent from anyone who didn't give me atleast a days notice growin or not. But i had a fire inspection with only 1 days notice. I rented a uhaul packed everything up in it threw a shit load of moth balls and parked my shit on the street over night. They were comin at 8 am. It worked out fine. I even turned my veg box upright and hung clothes in there. That was back in july. Everything worked out fine. Although they said somethin bout my masterlock on the bedroom door. Told em as long as someone else has keys to this apt besides me, it's stayin on. After that they said nuttin. But you do have the right to atleast a days notice by law, atleast out east where I live

You only have six plants that easy. I had 12 in veg and 15 in flowerin. I would just bag em up and throw em in a closet wit some odor control. She can look in the house but not through your stuff. They are only 2-3 feet tall. Get some of the heaqvy duty contractor bags(10 bucks at lowes) and duck tape the tops so no air is escapin. They aren't even that deep into flowerin so smell shudn't be to bad

the LL called yesterday morning.so basically that is the 24 hr. notice.she wanted to come by yesterday,but i said i was busy.
i didnt sign a lease this year,since im such a good tenent,says her.so im not sure if thats a good or bad thing.
i think i'l just bag them and place them in the closet like you said.i'l camo them.but i dont think she will be looking in the closets..hope not.
im not sure if the plants stink or not,since the can filter does a good job in eleminating odors.they do stink if you put your nose to them though.

rent a $29 uhaul for the day. park it a block away. my hot water heater died in the 4th week of flowering and i had to get rid of everything for a day and mask any lingering odor. overcooked bacon masks the smell great. i slightly burned a pan of bacon then walked around the house and basement to distibute the smell.

and here is the closet when ya look into it.

no smell at all.i put one of those glade plugins right next to the closet.so ya smell flower scent if anything.

dont rely on your nose your probably descensitized , cook some meat with a lot of keyane pepper garlic and onions , have about 2 oranges ready and constantly peel them and eat them while you follow her around. don't be scared to squeeze and get juice all over your finger dont make it look obvious.

Yo the closet will work. Get a bunch of moth balls and tell her they are winter clothes you are storing.. Chances are she won't look in your closets. If you use the contractor bags wit top taped no smell permits, but even if there is a lil smell the moth balls over power it.

i doubled bagged them.
i cant smell a thing.earlier i cleaned the kitchen with clorox bathroom cleaner/bleach.
so when you enter you get a bleach smell.i put another glade plugin by the entrance also.
if she opens the closet and says whats that..i'l tell her an old tv.
next is the floors.which i will clean with pine-sol.
and right before she comes by i will cook up some bacon and make blt's.
her nose wont know what to think.

remember the longer they are in the bags the more smell leaks out. so take that into account. good luck man , you'll come out on top.
