Black Earth? Nice stuff. Some of the pics of the first plants, they have some damage here and there from slugs, also accidentally water them wirh the wrong jug of water and kinda burned them when they were younger. But im gonna start back Thursday hopefully my Promix is in. I hate using regular professional soil but this seems ok. Which is what I used in the 7-8 holes I dug. I also put a handful of miracle grow potting mix in my holes. I hated to do that but I believe they'll do ok, the few I planted. But I wanna use Promix in most my holes. I may still put a cup of miracle grow potting mix in them until it's gone. I don't figure a handful is gonna have any adverse effects on bud taste or anything. Not filling holes wirh miracle grow mix, just a handful. I don't really like miracle grow but no more than im using will be fine. I really like the potting soil I got, I'll have to check the name, it's very black/rich looking.
Black Earth? Nice stuff.
I've yet to hear anyone say "You used miracle grow on this." lol
I use what I have on hand. Miracle grow, promix flower or tomato, chicken manure pellets, cow shit, whatever shit, even time released nitrogen (farm stuff for corn) in some sandy places, water crystals and even baby diapers (with the plastic ripped off). But I almost always have a bale or two of PromixHP or BX on hand. I had a grow that only got water/miracle grow (the blue stuff) in unamended native soil. Worked great. The only danger with miracle grow is that you can kill your plants if you don't measure and just eyeball it.
That said, by far the best, hands down, have been plants in a properly prepared and cooked supersoil in a 3x2 foot hole with a teaspoon of water crystals mixed in (Soil Moist). But that's a lot of work when you have lots of plants in a gorilla spot.
Yet another experiment. This year I have 4 plants growing with a 12" strip of ShamWow (shammy) on the ground to catch morning dew or rain into a 12 inch strip under the plant. I'm hoping it wicks water into the hole, and not the other way around. lol
Lookin' good wv...Get those babies in the ground now!
If you have holes at least 2 feet in diameter and 16 inches deep, those potted plants will take off once their roots realize they have room to spread out!
