Yeah Jumping the shark is a term for the moment a TV show goes bad. They got it from the Happy days episode where the fonz is on waterskis and jmps the shark. Lost is about to do the same.

The show should have only been 3 seasons long, but they will stretch it to 5 with all the damn flashbacks.

-- The event that went off at the end of last season was the same kind as the event that brought down the plane. Possibly even brought down by the dharma project because of someone in particular on the plane.
-- The others seem to be part of a utopian society dharma research project. But it also seems like they have ties/access to outside island information as if the dharma group has some govt backing.
-- The others seem to be on some mission in their research thats looking for untainted subjects with little or no outside influence like Walt and the babies.
-- Kate hooks up with Sawyer since it looks like Jacks new interest is in the other's doctor.
-- My guess is there will be a supernatural secret about the others not revealed until close to the end of the season as to why they are there and cant rejoin off island society.
-- 2nd guess is that Locke is going to 'figure' things out and when he tries to do it on his own he is reparalized.
The Lost writers did take some time out to review all the major buzz going around the internet and determined that the viewers were coming to the same conclusions that season two was too full of mythological imagery so they dialed back on it and decided this season would be alot more of flashing back. My guess is they will spend time doing character developement of the ones staying on for season four. Which means no more flashbacks of Shannon and Boone.

1. The plane was brought down by Desmond, he fucked up and wasnt back in time to press the button. He even said he thought he crashed their plane.
2. I believe the Dharma group is funded by Desmond's girlfriends father. Desmond entered the "race around the World" yacht race to win the trophy from his girlfriends rich father.
At the end of last season we saw after Lock Fucked up the hatch, an arctic expedition team was trying to trace the signal, and they called Desmonds girlfriend saying they may have found it.
3. Agree with you on the untainted subjects.
4. I dont know what the hell is going to happen with Kate, Saywer, and Jack....I think everyone thought Jack and Anna Luci would get together.

6. I think Locke may be reparalized now that the healing power of the magnetic force is gone!

ive tried to stop watching this show and not get caught up but its impossible.
the writers really need to wrap it up though. hopefully next season is the last one.

I love Lost, its a great show, there are so many things that you miss when you watch it, so many things happening, but its good, it makes you think, not many shows to that these days...there is tons of info about the show on the internet, just have to look, I'm not real crazy about the schedule they have...its like 6 new episodes then like 13 weeks off then the rest of the season, thats crazy, stoner me is going to forget everything from before hehehe...Kate is a cutie, hard to believe that her and Charlie are going out in real life, they dont dont seem like they fit, but what do I know ??? hehehe ...I'll be watchin
