Anyone using a carbon scrubber in sealed grow area?

I think it would probably be just fine even with a 400.. As long as you have good airflow it should keep the temps in check...
If you find the temps are getting out of control, or if you haven't bought a light yet I would buy an air cooled hood or build one... To keep on the safe side....
The cooler the better so long as the temps do fall too low....

Seems like a good configuration J.

Oh, and you can have the scrubber in either way (pulling air through or pushing air thru), just so long as stinky air HAS to go through the scrubber before it leaves the grow.

Dang...

The way my closet is I will only be able to have one intake hole (door knob hole) that I will attach a 4" ducting to that will go to the floor of the closet. I will put a 120mm PC fan (115cfm) between the doorknob hole and the ducting blowing any fresh air in that will fit through doornob hole. I then planned to have a 4" eco plus fan and scrubber at the top of the closet.

walker_so: Do you think this would work using that carbon scrubber with such a small intake hole and the rest sealed?

It is better to have the air being Pulled through the cab than being pushed as you are planning to do. You want to create a negative pressure in the cab, not a positive pressure. Positive pressure leads to unscrubbed air being pushed out from places you don't want air to be leaving. That sorta negates the whole idea of the carbon scrubber if stinky air is getting out from other places.

Also, if you plan to use a carbon scrubber, a 4 inch computer fan is not going to be enough. The 115CFM measurement is for practically unobstructed airflow. Put a scrubber and duct work in the mix and that computer fan just ain't gonna be able to move that air simply because of the way the fan is designed. It can't generate the pressure to overcome those obstacles. Get a centrifugal blower. They work much better in those type situations. Also I would say a door knob hole will not be large enough to allow a sufficient amount of airflow to cool a 250 or 400w HPS.
