Straight edges, easy to glue, and probably more than strong enough for the frame. Just make sure to glue all joints and press them together with clamps or screws.
Screen was delivered yesterday. I am trying to decide just how tight the screen shoud be. you want it taught enough to bounce pennies off of, but not so taught you start distorting the mesh Think the wood should have a groove made in it, so the screen mesh can be rolled into the groove? that would probably work pretty well. I'd probably glue or epoxy it in place after it was done stretching, just to make sure it stays.Kinda like a regular window screen? I did get the three sizes of mesh 100tpi, 150tpi, 200tpi.
I thought I could make the groove using a table saw. I am just thinking the groove made would be too large.Just get a larger press in tubing, and glue it in place. Or not, if it stays well enough.
PS. I have considered because of the 3 screens involved my box should not be called a stash box, it really would just be a sifting box. Stash would still be held in jars.
