Anyone know lineage of purple urkle?

There's a lot of different stories out there about this!

One claims it is nothing more than a freak plant from Dutch Passion's Purple #1 crossed with a Skunk No. 1. This would make it a sativa dominant plant, but most people claim the urkel is an indica dominant plant. Who knows?

I heard they're just Serious Seeds Chronic, and then they put grape food coloring/flavoring on the buds, right after drying, but before the cure.

might be the most riduculos thing ive heard in a while. I take it your not in cali. The purps up here in nor cal is real and its amazing. I can think of many different purple strains right now.... The urkle is also known as purple urple among othr names. It is the bomb and is clone only, meaning it was not a cross made but a rare selection. GDP is urkle crossed with a sensi seeds big bud

Hey guys, I did a little research and here what I found.

"Purple Urkle, also known as Purple Urkel and Purple Erkle. This strain is a clone only medical strain. It is a phenotype of Mendo Purps and was developed in Humboldt county in the 1970’s. It is an Indica."

Now we know.

This cut is out of Humboldt and it puts one to sleep. It has an interesting flavor that keeps the average persons interest for about a quarter of an ounce, then it's over man. Way over rated in my opinion, certainly boring as all get out. Possibly medicinal though, if sleeping is the goal.

I've been wondering about this one for a while--no idea. Colina is right; it is great for sleep, and that's about all I use it for. I actually enjoy the effect, though it's definitely sedative.

If you "know" what is derived from, it would be helpful if you could substantiate your claim--where did you get your information from?

Mmmm...I'm going to enjoy this batch of Serious Seeds Chronic, I'm just about to chop these and set them to dry in some grape kool aid.

To call it boring and not all that means some folks arent smoking the real deal. If you were you would be in love like every other person who has had it on their lips. There is a reason it is the most sought after herb in the state where quality herb abounds. Put real Urkle down with any other herb, and 9 times outa 10 folks will reach for the Urkle and keep it movin. Thats why if you are sellin you better be familiar with the term "Got grapes??" Otherwise you are losin scrill/business daily.

As for the food coloring, there has been alot of that goin around in Cali. Since the purples rule the market folks have been doin that for a while to charge cats more for the fake purps. Terrible but true. But if you got half a nose you know that sweet smell of grapes anywhere and nobody is gonna fool you with that bullshit!!! Grow you own and know your own my people!!! Gonna go fire up this GDP and think on it for a while!

i love the urkle too..the taste mm,the buzz makes me happy, kinda silly..i thought urkle had bigbud in it..that's what i was told in encinidas where i got my clone from..anyway being an old fart, back in the day and i still do it to many strains like nl and ww which i find not very tasty, i feed mine about 20 blueberries to a gallon of water every week during bloom..it gives it mag. plus adds a berry taste and gives the buds and leaves color..we've been doing that for years here in the hills..homeade blueberry..strawberries work well too..peace

Kitty - Not Urkle. It was crosses with a select Cripple Creek Big Bud to make the GDP. Basically beefed up the yeild and made the veg time faster.
