I am 20 days into flower and have had very minimum problems till know. I dont know what it is, and I dont have pics yet but i will try my best to explain. On one of my plants (AK47) it has been flowering everywhere. The lower and mid nodes have had alot of formation and structure. GOood strain. On the lower nodes of the pistols, the end of the pistols look like they are getting to much heat. The very tips of the pistols are red and, well kind of frayed. Any one know any thing about this.? Could it be from the fan? I juat put a little bit bigger fan there and that is the closest plant to it. If any one has anything please let me know. It doestn seem to be getting dramaticly worse just little by little by little. Ill try to get pics soon.

have you been touching the stigmas?(hairs/pistols/whatever) could there be stray pollen around from a hermie or a stray male?

No. I took all males/hermie's out as soon as I saw them. No I havent really messed with them at all. It kind of looks like leaves do when it gets nute burn but only on the pistols. I had a bigger fan put in and thats when I started to notice. It was a pretty strong fan. It's just wierd because 3 weeks into flower and humidity is around 40% so I wouldnt think it was Bud rot. I dont know, thanks for the advice.

Too much light can do it. Usually there will also be a decrease in visible trichhomes and the affected buds will start vegging out producing little leaflets instead of flowers at the tips closest to the light.

There may also be areas that turn white from lack of chlorophyll but these will look more bleached than burned.

Hopefully it's an easy fix for you to just move the affected parts further from the bulb.

Thanks for your help but where this is happening is on the lower nodes. The upper nodes are 12 inchs away from the light and they are fine. Seems to me like it was the bigger fan I put in there was blowing a little to hard. If any thing Im only 3 weeks into flower would it be ok to cut a couple of the lower nodes off? Only like 3 nodes affected. Or see if they grow?

whoa down there partner... cutting your buds off is a bit drastic, no?

early flower formations have a few pistils here & there that mature early, yes as early as week3-4. brushing up/bending will induce early maturing/ripening as well... and that is what they are most likely doing. peace.

no need to cut anything off, just let nature take it's course. I highly doubt this will give you trouble of any kind.
