Any Resinious Male pics out there????

Thanks Steel, I'm sure you'll find a BH male that's comparable in your 80 F2s (or was it 50, or 50+30, I'm stoned)
Oh yes Hughie, he just finished pollinating 10 different strains in one run, I gave him his own private room and all sorts of tasty ladies to play with. I'm actualy in the middle of harvesting the seeds now. He's essentialy being thoroughly tested with all those crosses and BH F2s so I know whether to pin the 'winner' label on him. The BH F2s so far look amazing.
Thanks Fire. He is very typical of smell for Blockhead, so a good pick to carry on the BH traits I like. The smell is a little on the grapefruit side of the spectrum of BH, with fuely backgrounds and some added 'hard to put your finger on' goodness.
Not only is he resintastic, he's also the densest male I've seen, in person or in pics. He was even denser but at the end of flower he kissed the CFLs a few times and stretched out a bit. He's got a beautiful structure, no auto-flower or early sexing traits, nice hollow but sturdy branches.
On paper, he is the grail of males for breeding selection traits, but, it all comes out in the cross(es).
He looked so good when I cut him down I even smoked him, so I could get a feel for smoking males... and if I'm gonna start somewhere...
He tasted almost like my GF leaning female, just more 'leafy' tasting and alot harsher. But the potency was up there with mid grade comercial, and even better than some of the strains I've paid for. No where near headstash or highend stuff tho.
Here's some more pics of that male, he was flowered off to the side of CFLs, I could only imagine the size and denseness of his flowers under HID :wink:

nice pictures beancounter, what do u do with the males? a lot of times the males are harvested and manicured along the females and dried and pressed together into commercial brick. btw, would you have pictures of female buds late into flower with seeds? thanks.

I usualy just toss the male flowers and any sugar leaf from males into the trim bags. So the rest of the BH male that I didn't smoke would go with all my BH trim I've saving for BH bubble.
And I just happen to have some seeded plant pics that I just took.
It's one of my 2 favorite BH girl phenos, making the second batch of F2s from the same parents (the male above + pheno #1).
Here she is, BH doesn't tend to show her seeds that well, but you should be able to make out a handful from the pics.
And here is a random girl from the 1st batch of F2s the BH parents above made. This plant is grown by someone else in much hotter temps and a different grow style, so some of the variation is due to that factor. Also, my seeded BH girl was grown under floros, about 4" away from CFL and shoplights and this F2 under HPS. 54 days 12-12.

Thanks Steel, and believe me, he ain't going anywhere. :wink: Good luck with those beans, I'll be glued to your progress. I have 5 F2s of each of my best phenos going right now, but if I had more space I'd be all over a batch of at least 50. I realy do love my Blockhead.
I might as well post that BH male's most recent mugshot for posterity, this was the same male plant I used for the latest crosses and F2s while he was still in veg, just before I took father clones off him.

Males used to be my nightmare when i first started growing since i saw how much a small amount of pollen can schwagg up a harvest (meaning super seed up a harvest). When I walked through my room back then, as i brushed up against branches, seeds would just drop all over the floor...males were so ugly to me in the past, those male balls were horrible, repolsive, fucking ugly as fuck
these days i have learned about the beauty and potential a male can have .. for the future ... and truely enjoy seeing different resinious males... the more the better....they are as sexy as the female plant
the BH male you have is exactly what i'm talkin about! He is a pretty boy for sure, his form is spectacular and he could be a model :wink:

Hey Fire, I went thru the same process with the males, I mean all grow info comes with a 'kill all males' clause :wink:
But once I realized their worth I can hardly bring myself to kill any of the handsome devils..
As to the 2nd post, no, that's not my daddy's daddy. The father for the BH was Steve's SPG male stud, the same one used for the Sweet Tooth #3.
I would love to get both the ST father from post 2, and the SPG stud.
I do have Steve's SPG female cut, along with his Sweet Skunk cut. I'll be hitting both the BH male in the future.
I love Steve's work, and plan to hit any of his work with the BH male. So far I have made ST#3 x BH, and some crosses with other females he had a hand in, like LUI x BH, and Island Sweet Skunk x BH. Those 3 should turn out realy well.
