I love rap but not the urban/new stuff, i love it when the lyric actually meant something ie 2pac,biggie,dre,snoop,ez ect... I cant stand the new stuff where all they rap about is their clothes, cars, bling bling and shoes ?? wtf ??

With all that said i'll take a good jazz tune over rap anyday

my fav rapper of all time that alot of people dont know about it is "AZ" . hes the guy who did the "lifes a bitch" song with nas on illmatic. But yea he has lots of albums his most recent was "A.W.O.L" that came out a couple years ago but man is it good. I would highly recommend youtubing " AZ " and check out his shit you wont be disapointed.

I dont think anyone has mentioned Brother Ali, Slug(half white), Sage Francis, Buck 65, Cage, El-P, Mike Skinner of The Streets if you consider that hip-hop. There are a ton of white producers/DJs.

Rymesayers out of Minneapolis has the highest concentration of dope white MCs of any label I am aware of.
