Nokuy, i have tried the video pinballs and yes they are quite good fun but sadly they are not as good as the real thing. The only video pinbal i would consider is the ultra pin, this consists of 12 classic pinballs from williams and bally (Funhouse,
Eight Ball, Pin-Bot, Medieval Madness, Black Knight (2000),Attack from Mars, F-14 Tomcat, Fathom, Firepower, Strikes and Spares, Sorcerer and Xenon). Apartantly there is talk of a upgrade coming out soon that will have a dozen more classic pinballs on it. The Ultra pin however does not come cheap, you will pay anything from £1000 (at least) for a 2nd hand one and upto £3000 for a new one. I have played on one of these and the game play is as close to a real pinball as u can get. If u want to look for a pinball simulator check out www.futurepinball.com they might have what ur looking for m8.

Once again thx guys for all ur response's

it'd be cool if someone had an "adult" burger and beer joint with real pinball machines and shuffleboard tables.

NOKUY, is that the one that comes standard with windows? if so ive played it and its not a bad game. when you start talking pinball software im pretty much lost.

I have my own little coffeeshop at my place (its what i call it), obviously called jamrockjays :joint::joint::joint: and unlike holland u can drink beer here with ur weed and have a game of pinball :woohoo: so this is even better than a 'adult' burger bar as mentioned by flubnutz, dont u all agree? I even have a waitress (g'f) who serves up the munchies on command lol

I used to spend all day at the arcade playing pinball when I was younger. Gotta love that whipping sound when you hit the high score and get a free game. I could play for hours on a single credit.

Computer pinball is ok but you cannot control the ball in same way as you can on an actual pinball machine. Giving the machine a nudge without tilting the game is really an art form that takes some pratice. Pinball fantasies, dreams and illusions were quite good on the amiga but since then I have not played a whole lot of computer pinball. It just isn't the same.

Once the arcade closed I forgot all about pinball until I saw this thread, maybe I should buy one as well, playing pinball was a lot of fun after all. Thanks for reminding me

Heres a few more pics of my pinball, i think im gonna have to take the glass off it to get a nice night picture of it all lit up as there is to much glare, either that or my camera is shite lol

well i was tooling around the net and came across something that all in this thread should enjoy. Especially if you are near Vegas. http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ its the las vegas pinball museum!! The website has about 140 machines listed (all reconditioned and ready to play)

Bally machines were consistently my favourite over the years, even though I already mentioned some Williams games.... :D

Twilight Zone was another great one I spent many hours on playing for beers back in the day.

Twilight Zone was alot of fun... however, I came back in here today to mention my all time favorite pinball machine: Terminator 2.

There is one more i thought of but forgot.

Jurassic Park! Yeah, that was a good one . . . . I wanna go over to jamrockjay for a beer, a joint, and some pinball . . . with the pound sinking to its current value, no doubt this would be a good time to visit!

Yeah Lucky 7, the pound is taking a battering at the mo. Now is deff the right time to come to the UK. This time last yr i got $1.80 to £1 and 1.30euro to £1, now its $1.40 and 1.02euro to £1, crazy man crazy....

i found another link for the same museum that was a little more recent. unfortunately there was no game list on that one. On the brighter side the more recent link stated that there was now over 200 machines.

If anyone is in vegas please stop by this spot and let us know exactly how cool it is.

Adventurer's Inn in Yonkers (now it's a Nathan's) had the best pinball & arcade room in my area, I remember having to stand on wooden milk crates to play most games. I never got into the home gaming thing either, stand up arcade games was where it was for me, besides back in the early days they only made the home games after it was successful as an arcade or pinball game first.

Asteroids, Defenders, Joust, Space Invaders, Pac-Man & Ms Pac-Man, Street Fighter, Birdie King 2 just to name a few of my 80s favs.
