Any Pinheads out there?

Hi all ,
i was just wondering if there are any fellow tokers who like myself enjoy playing pinball, whilst smoking our most sacred erb? Yeah ok i admit it im a pinhead lol

I enjoy it so much i brought my own machine last year (No Fear Extreme Sports) which i really enjoy and have got quite a wizz on this game. I dont wanna sound big headed so i wont post my highest score, (more like embarrassed i hear you say lol). I will post some pics over the weekend of my machine in all its glory. Does any body else have their own machine? If so what have you got? Any pics?

Whenever im in A'dam i always seem to go to coffeeshops that have pinball machines in them. Ive even got my girl hooked on them so its all good lol

Also for anyone who is interested there is a pinball show held every year here in the UK, again this year it is at Franklins Gardens, Northampton, July 24th - 26th (www.ukpinballshow.co.uk). It is a great event for anyone who likes pinball as there are a few hundred machines to play all set on free play. Also for any wizards  out there, there is also the european pinball championships being held.

Anyway i look forward to any response's

allright I used to work for an arcade.....at the beach. in the summertime.

you don't see them around too much anymore.

Favorite Pinball game was Whirlwind. The Storm is Coming. Return to your homes. Would sit there and play and smoke Red's for an hour after work. Gratis.

theres onlt one company in the US that still makes pinball machines and they only put out a few titles every year. aside from that...i love me some pinball.

im having trouble remembering the name of the machine that was in one of the bars we frequented. it had something to do with a junkyard and putting all these parts together. once you got used to the machine it was fun as hell.

EDIT: The Street Fighter machine kicked ass too!

I liked the Adams Family one too, street fighter was good though, I can't remember other names either. On that same note, anyone have any idea these machines cost used.... and where the best place to look for them is? Craigslist maybe?

Id love to get one and put it in my place. I was at a rest area a few weeks ago that had a machine, I got a dollar in change from the gf's purse and played 2 games.

EDIT: damn lotta them on CL by me.... however they are alot more than i anticipated! from 300$ for a reallllly old/crappy one, to $1950 for Monopoly that is nice and modern.

I go to this bowling/arcade place with my buddies sometimes to get blazed and play airhockey.

We always end up at the pinball machines, i love those things! Always reminds me of family vacations when i was a kid where i played pinball. I want such a machine bad. But theyre so expensive....

I don't have the mat yet. I think the whole "No Pinheads" campaign on The O'Reilly Factor is kind of skanky. Calling peeps pinheads all the time makes Bill seem small to me. I like the show, but when he starts hollerin' I tune it all out.

Thx guys for your posts....

Just in reply to a few of the posts.
There is only 1 coin operated pinball machine company left in the world and that is Stern, their most recent machines are 24, CSi and Batman The Dark Knight. There have been plenty of other companys that are sadly no longer with us (Gottlieb, Bally, Williams and data east) to name a few.

Alot of pinball enthusiast's state that Gottlieb pinball machines are the Rolls Royce of pinballs, however i prefer the Williams, Bally and Stern machines.

You are correct pinball machines dont usually come cheap, it all depends on which machine u want and the condition of said machine. To give u some example i paid £750 for my machine, that included delivery and set up. It was not in mint condition but its overall condition is good and the playfield is super fast. There are lots of places to but new and used pinball machines here in the uk and in usa, a good price guide is to look on ebay.

EvilRaven1031, i think the game u r refering to is none other than Junkyard, which was made by Williams.

johnipedestran, i would of loved a job in a arcade when i was younger, i would been like a boy locked inside a sweet shop... No scrub that i'd be like a toker locked inside the governments drug destroying facility lol

I see a few of u have mentioned The Adams Family pinball, this is one of the top 5 pinballs of all time as stated on pinside. It is a very enjoyable game with a lot of features. I personally think the new Indiana Jones pinball machine is the dogs Bol**cks as i played it for the first time last month in A'dam and was mightely impressed.

Stoner4Life, i agree with u about Bram Stokers Dracula pinball, it is one of my many personal favourites.

Many thx all and thx for all the responses

There's a place not too far from here that sells machines . . . they start about $3,000! Yeah, I was gonna buy one (Star Wars I think) till I found out the steep $.

Used to get high & play at a theater before the show; a perfect beginning to an afternoon!

After school I used to play with a friend at his house; his folks had one in the basement.

Over here in England there arnt that many places to go to play pinball, they seem to be disappearing. In Derby where im from i only know of one place that has a pinball machine (kingsway pub) oh and of course there is one at my place lol

bongasaurus, i remember the G n R pinball, i seem to remember this being quite a collectable machine. There has been a couple on ebay over the last 6months average price was £1000 ($1400 approx).

HeadyPete, Black knight is a true classic and yes ur right about the multi level playfield. The Adams family as i stated earlier is one of the most popular and highly rated of machines. Terminator 2 was also a good machine, the one thing against it in my opinion is its a slower playing machine than the ones i prefer. However, Terminator 2 was Williams' first machine with a dot matrix display and featured pinball's first dot matrix videomode! So u gotta have respect for this machine.

You can pick up a pinball machine from as little as £500 and can pay upto £4000+ obviously you get what you pay for. Im more than happy with my pinball machine and for £750 i cant have any complaints.

I used to be able to play "Jurassic Park" Pinball for hours on one quarter (25 cents), but that was years ago while I was in college. I still dream of owning Addams Family and a Twilight Zone machine.

I bought a "Flash" pinball machine for $10.00! several years ago and played it for awhile, but it has a bank of targets that don't work all the time so it's not very fun due to lack of scoring consistency. It was very fun to work on though. I love the mechanics of modern pinball machines even though Flash was made in 1979. It was the first machine with electronic background sound, which of course means the sound system is very primitive and difficult to keep running. I'm keeping it because it's still beautiful to look at from the outside.

Bally machines were consistently my favourite over the years, even though I already mentioned some Williams games.... :D

Twilight Zone was another great one I spent many hours on playing for beers back in the day.
