in veg yes everything gets the same 1.0 to 1.1 EC , in flower alot of my hybrids need less than some of the indicas .
you like to lolipop post stretch?

they're 2 gallon Hempys D3cryption
yes , perilite up to the drain hole on the side . about an inch on the 2 gallons & about 2" on the 3.5's
i have mixed feelings about hempys , i've done a side by side with 3 gallon hempys & 3 gallon square pots & didn't see any major differences in the yield or growth on the 2 pots . i've also used the 3 gallon smart pots & i always come back to the plastic square pots dtw , just filled with straight coco , no perilite or anything . they're the easiest to deal with .
hempys are good because you can transplant a rooted clone right into your final pot & just veg & flower it out all in the same pot with no transplanting .
the smart pots are nice & you do get a better root system with them cuz of the fabric . my only issue with them was getting them clean after use .... it was bitch !!
i just like the ease of use & cleaning with the 3 gallon white DTW pots & I haven't seen a major difference in the plants at all to say one type pot is better than the other ..... stick with what ya like .
i ran 2 gallon pots for years with great results , put out few with 6 to 7 ounces on them in 2's , but i have gone to using only 4 3 gallon pots per light with some veg time & am getting damn close to half pounders now
go with what ever pot is easiest to use in your system .
Yes sir. I am also going to run 4 3gallon pots per light/table. I know its strain dependent, but lets say GG4. How long do you like to veg her for, or how tall do you let each get? Mine are about 2 weeks old, around 9" tall and I just topped some of the taller shoots. I got some in 1/2 gal FWOK and some in 4"x4" 25% perlite 75% coco.
to many variables to really give a veg time table , but i'd say veg till they're half way to where you want them to be when they stop stretching . most plants will double in stretch , indicas can stay shorter & need a longer veg where sativas can be ran from clone because they stretch so much ...... GG4 is one that stretches for 21 days , so they need to go in kinda short unless ya scrog them .
this was my first grow of the GG ... its pretty detailed as to what GG4 can do

Wow Humble, looks killer!
I'm seeing varying recommendations for the V+B / dirty combo.. do you chose the tap version because of your local water? I'm assuming the primary difference in the RO vs the Tap versions is cal/mag content; My local water is on the soft side and I'm in coco-- wondering if the RO would be recommended for my setup? And what are your thoughts on the FWOK? can you compare using it to grow cubes (crutons)? How's the prep?
thanks for thoughts and insights, keep killin it
i use it from day 35 to day 39 , 1 rez full . i use an 18 gallon rez & it takes 4 days to empty it . i mix in 5 gallon buckets & then dump it in the rez , i use 1 tsp of the plus size for each 5 gallon bucket .
Is there a reason why you use it for a few days rather than from week3-6?
I like the tap/dirty combo for pH maintenance reasons. I run a recirc bucket system and the pH would rise way too fast with The Dirty alone. My source water is .3ec and with the combo at 5 grams per gallon my pH is around 5.3 . After a week or recirc it's still -6.0 pH, perfect for my schedule. The weekly rise in ph seems to surge the plants. The fwok is easier than rock wool alone. The conditioner that comes with it is a little too much imho so I soak the fwok in it at 1/4 strength or the wool part of fwok stays to wet.
I used +size on these GG4's from middle of week 2 to week 6. from week 6 on I just added Ro to my reservoir and let the pH swing up. Finished up really well, the resin is off the charts.

That leaf twist is just a trait of the GG4 , it has nothing to do with the nutes .
