Hey Breadwizard, cool tiny leaves you got on your Lolab
troutman and gorilla ganja, you are of course right. As you and many others have said I need to go auto. That is actually the plan, I don't know why I sounded so vague about that in my previous post.
I am thinking about crossing with Bangi Haze for the nice sativa effect and some resistance against cold, cloudy and rainy summers. In F1 I will select for good Bangi phenos. In F2 the ABC leaf mutation should show. Next step will be to cross in an auto, possibly Auto Zamaldelica. Once again I will have to go through a couple of generations. However, all these steps will be carried out indoors.
So by the time I have gone through all the steps and will be able to start growing outdoors for the first time, the Bangi cross will be many generations far back. Is there a risk that the weather resistant qualities from the Bangi will be lost by then? Since I am not able to select for these traits in the process as I am growing indoors. Or maybe these genes are there (deep?) in the mix and the next step is growing outside and to continue selecting for desirable traits.
Another way could be to cross with Auto Zamaldelica first and Bangi later, or just cross the Autobastard to Bangi. I don't know why, but I feel a bit suspicious about that one though so I am leaning against using Subterfuge#1 which is photodependant. Well the proof of the pudding is in the eating, or rather in the smoke. I'll have to try them out in the fall before crossing of course.
