no pix, bro, but i'm into ol' buglemouth bass ! i like to fish for them in early summer when mulberries are ripe. use a flyrod & "plop" a berry on a hook under an overhanging tree, & watch them lips come up! folks think a carp won't jump, hook one about 15# using twenty# leader so he won't snap you off, & watch those suckers leap...they will flat out churn the river up, LOL! AOH

Carp? nahhh. love the barbel on the Severn thought, they do knuckle, never actually had a river carp though.

found some carp pics without me in it but its my own fish i just love going night fishing getting all me stuff ready. cooking a good chicken or goat curry before i go i roll about 10spliffs so all is ready when i get there set up the tent got me stove bedchair smoke thats me then just wait for the buzz alarms to rip if i dont get any bites then im stargazing instead just loving nature at its best.

I like using corn for carp fishing or a worm. they are a lot of fun to haul in, some of them get real big. And you can bury them in your garden for fertilizer

First time I went out on the Ebro [just a bit south of me...] the guy sitting next to me had a 164lb Wels.... this gave 40 minute fight as it was a River fish, not a lazy unfit fattie from the big reservoir up at Caspe/Mequinenza.

Likewise, the river has plenty of feisty Carp, a friend prebaits an area and has regular 20s and 30s out, a 20 is pretty much guaranteed. The river fish are beautiful, like torpedoes, not the slightest gut on them and less than 1% have hook scars on their lips...

Another [illegal, unwelcome] visitor is the American Bass, great fun to fish for, very easy to understand how North America is hooked on chasing the things.

cats in the uk only go up to around 100lb so a 40lb cat is good . the pool were that cat was from only has 3 cats in it and the pool is very big . ive been to Mequinenza 5 times now . ive had loads of 30 to 40lb carp
and loads of cats under 100lb . 2 yrs ago i had a 155lb white cat . was over the moon . will try n find the pics .

Yeah, I know, I was just teasing....a 40 is very respectable there... and a 155 Albino is a fantastic fish, please dig that pic out !

There are lots of big carp and cats in the Thames near Hampton Court, someone had smuggled a load of french fish over, then got warned thet the NRA were on to it and lying in wait at their water, so they dumped all the fish in the Thames.

glad to see fellow fishermen here!!! its to cold for carp right now but i live on a river that is full of carp catfish walleye and tons of monster smallmouth cant wait for spring!!!!!see you all on the riverbanks ohh yea carp are also called susquhanna salmon
