Anxiety and Smoking

.....taking one hit and wait (15 min + or -) for the effects to show up will also help you manage your breathing .....
peace!

What happens when you take a toke - you draw in the hit and hold your breath.

What happens when you are anxious - you draw a breath and unconsciously hold your breath or may even start to hyperventilate.

Once the natural rhythm of breathing is disrupted by any means it can set off a chain reaction mimicking anxiety and the fear of an anxiety attack can bring one on all by itself also.:tiphat:

IMO, a lot of the anxiety is social - the fact that we have to hide the fact that we are high or get high,
the fear of getting caught and facing the shame of society's condemnation. :pointlaug

Right, right . . . my first episode of auditory hallucinations was set off when I thought my neighbor lady saw me smoking through my upstairs window. I had "her" voice in my head for a long time. (Probably a big chunk of Freud in there, LOL)

I find that giving people anxiety is much more fun then having it myself.

Find someone to annoy.

I tickle my dog until he pees a little...he hates that and won't talk to me until dinnertime.
