i can't use it because my ip is outside the USA :-(

anyone care to help me find a non-restricted anonymous proxy within the US or set up an account for me?

edit: said ip instead of proxy, whoops

Just use TOR

Get Skype with a SkypeIn number.
It's really cheap. However, you have to be near a computer.
But, if you're using this, you're already at one.

It'll work with Nextel free incoming calls and Tmobile Favorite 5 as well as sprint Call home

Cheapest plan for
Nextel Free Incoming calls - $49.95
T Mobile My Faves - $39.99
Sprint + Call Home - $44.99

If anyone knows any other networks that let you get free incoming or calls to certain numbers like My Faves or Call Home please share

so who exactly is monitoring my conversations, and why is it easier this way?

Its said that NSA monitors calls all the time with a computerized database that starts its recording with various 'key words'. I can't verify it, could be one of those urban legends for all I know.

But there are ways using various cell tech to "harness" someone else's calls. This can be done with some real geek smarts, and some funky looking toys from Radio Shack. I wouldn't have believed it, but I happen to have a geek friend who can do such things. Even use someone else's number on his own phone to make a call. Very weird, I couldn't even begin to explain how it works, and largely because I don't even know how it does myself.

aaaaaaactually.... ever since digital cell phones became the norm, simple "point and hear" scanning of cellphones is nearly impossible. that is, unless you use a bluetooth headset(notoriously unsecure).

then again, if you're gonna get tapped, there's no way to stop it, short of point to point voice enncryption(very expensive). thing is knowing when you are catching the attention of LEO. As long as you are a "normal" citizen, the probability of this ocurring depends on how much you trust your government to follow IT'S OWN laws....

unfortunately, the probability of this seemingly obvious mandate is very low...

conclusion: don't do illegal shit if you can't own up to the consequences or just simply don't use the phone for that type of shit, period

which reminds me, what's with dealers and two way pagers????? also notorious for their insecurity!

google is corrupted and shares its information with the US Government.

I would never feel safe or have any feeling of privacy using their service. They save ALL your emails if you use gmail - and I bet they will be if they are not already, recording all calls made using this.

Buyer Beware.

conducting business on GC... Not the smartest thing in the world.

Using it for free phone calls is how I see its usefulness

Any other suggestions?

papa whts wrong with pagers? Just curious.

I know pagers do not give up your location unlike cells, other than that benefit dont know what the security risk would be with rhem

thing is, my business is legal :p and i like that this is free, but will make me seem like a succesful ********(yes, i censored my profession) because it'll seem like i conduct business in the cities in which i have reserved a number, capisce?

"ooh, he has an office in Brooklyn and another in miami, he must be good!"

this is seriously a beginning entrepeneur's dream! let's just hope people with my same mentality but another method don't start abusing the system :p it's already iffy with people like me(it could be construed as professional misrepresentation if i ever say that's an office number or the likes) imagine if scammers got a hold of this!(i bet they already have)
