I'm glad Bear is OK. I bet he has a story to tell! There was an article in the Denver Post about pets getting into edibles. They show the same effects Bear had. Here in CO you can take the pet to a vet and tell him what happened and no body gets turned in and LEO never knows. The treatment from the vet is pumping the pet's stomach and waiting it out.
Thats pretty much what you did. Depending on which state you live in, I would maybe be scared to go to a vet. My black cat chews on fan leaves all the time which are very weak.
