Ok, I know this is a really old comment but what did you mean by this? Curious cause I don't have the RIL I have only the Casey Jones x RIL and big don romulan x RIL.. were you talking about flower times in response to the haze nerd dude or nanners in response to the idiot dude with a hermaphrodite fetish or..?
I know it seems like a weird post to ask about years later but I'm reading through this thread as it's super interesting and it's helping me learn a lot from a breeding standpoint but the fact that you mentioned the Casey Jones made me have to say something as that was the pack I bought of yours first. Even got me a koozie, nifty shot glass and a flashlight that don't work (LOL it lights up but very feebly, still dope though)

Imo depends on what you're asking for the seeds.
A well know Dutch bank are asking €22 per seed for something they tell you on their own site will herm on you.
I would never pay that for a seed, let alone one that's going to herm on me.
I did how ever pay near the 100 mark for SSH from Shanti & the original Juicy fruit from sensi which is a Thai X Affy..
If the seeds were priced right and the breeder was open about it I don't see a problem. But as you say some just won't run that risk.

I’ve always just pinched them off rarely had them continue for long. I’ve heard tell there’s two kinds of growers those always looking for hermie and spider mites and those in denial.
For great weed it’s worth it to a small grower like me. I’ll buy some haze or Thai and won’t bitch about a few nanners.

So I got a pretty decent haul from TonyG before his IG got shut down.
Must have had around 40 RIL seeds in the pack.
Could get only 5 of them to sprout.
Seeds are small and pale and look immature.
This is not a review of his breeding skills but just my experience tbh.
If anyone wants any of his gear, I'd suggest getting it through a seedbank so you have some redressal mechanism.

Panama x GG4 RIL
I used a few RIL males to pollinate some things. I was growing a pack of Ace seeds Panama and also a few GG RIL at the time so I had a few of each cross to play with and I decided to use the RIL as the male side.
First pic smells like the og kush-esq that the GB and ril put off and exactly the type of lemon I found in the Panama, it reminds me of lemonheads candy.

My keeper cut (so far) I found in my first pop of the RIL. Just four seeds, Two were male and two were females. I kept my favorite female and been growing her ever since around 2020

Same cut, different angle. Around chop time I think she was hiding behind something else that was taken that day
It has a nice funky mix of og kush and sprite soda, ginger ale, and even a bit heineken or ipa hops can be detected in the flavor, it meshes with the skunk spray flavor and definitely has some skunk on the backed and especially in the jar. When I break it up it smells like pizzelle cookies, sweet licorice but not so much actual anise or licorice. Its got great potency and has settled my stomach on more than one occasion.
