American prices very greatly.You can pay 6-800 dollars for an ounce of chronic in DC New York or Cali,I think it sucks ass and I remember vividly where I came from.I sell blockhead at 250 an OZ 4K an lb and I think thats pretty fair.I used to anyway.Now its time to take care of dear ole mom.EDIT It just occurred to me that I've never bought erb in any of the places I mentioned,this is what I hear from the media.Ooops.Why dont you folk let me in on the real prices in these areas lol

Breeder's brought back from their trip from Cali or USA to holland and breed genes in holland. Allot of the old stories i heard. Where from seeds or cuts brought to holland and worked over the years, but that's not to say the genes are from other countries. Gypsy, post that also. Genes being from other countries like Asian and such. The question being American vs European weed. Most of all the old stores have been smuggling seeds or clones back to holland to be worked into what they have today. Just my 2 cents, I could careless. As long as i have access to what i want. I really don't care. I just want to in joy whatever is out there and hope it's shared with others.

I don't know if one crazy yanqui was American or European,but I'm sure glad he was born!Out of the dozens of 150 dollar strains I've grown out,his blockhead blows it all away and not by any small margin...

There are regions in the Americas with great pot culture (BC, Humboldt, Oaxaca, etc) and there are regions in Europe with an equally great pot culture (Holland, Spain, Switzerland, etc).
Certain areas thrive and can develop their Cannabis culture when local politics and legislation is openminded, while others are oppressed. Their "greatness" is often related to whims of politicians.
Sometimes politics change. It's what happened in Belgium and Switzerland (they more or less de-criminalized Cannabis in the early 21st century, only to fall back on oppression a few years later), and it seems to be the case in Canada as well.
As to strains and genetics, you often hear that European genetics is all Skunk hybrids, and that it all came from the US originally. It is rather retarded as argument, and you could turn it around and say that the most hyped-to-death American genetics today is OG Kush, Chemdog and Diesel, which are all related to eachother. So much for variety.
And when you think about it, where did all the American and European genetics come from in the first place? Why should the discussion be limited to the Industrialized continents, simply because they're over-represented on the internet?
The true giants in Cannabis culture is India and the South East Asian region (Thailand, Cambodia, etc). This is where drug type Cannabis has been cultivated to perfection for thousands of years, this is where Cannabis is intimitely mixed into religion, culture and way of life. This is where the past, the present and probably the future of Cannabis culture is to be found.

Not much more to say,makes me want to cancel my trip to the keys next month.Who needs beautiful weather and beaches,13 cents a KWH electricity,no income tax,no food tax,homestead exemption for property tax relief,$2.10 cent gasoline,Spanish gold on the beaches with a Whites metal detector while women in bikini's come to check out your "booty"lol.I'd give up all that for a cold climate and 20 dollar eighth's lol

There's a difference between bud you find in a country (a lot of it on the coasts in Mexi Brick), and bud GROWN in a country.
Like I think I said earlier (maybe I didn't post in this yet, I dunno) this is a moot question. Genetics has less to do with quality than TLC. I mean clearly you can't grow out a seed from a shitty bag and get a cup winner, but it will realitically be better quality than the original bag it's from.

Sorry I just filled up,2.85 per gallon lol.I can honestly say the best weed in my area is right here,as it should be for all of you if you use the grow forums and seedbanks..The only thing that has come close in five years has been my cousins hydroponic blockhead grown from my pheno,it doesnt compare to BH grown in ocean forest with PBP and FF nutes though.The best weed shouldn't be in that Country state or city,it should be in your possession..
