ALOE VERA

At what rate is the 200x Aloe powder to be added to a gallon of h2o? It would be used for a coco drench.
In cooking measurements please.
And could one assume that would be a typical amount for an adult human /day?

1/16 tsp per gal

Made my first aloe foliar yesterday. Just did a blade with a cup of water in a blender. The mix was nice and barely any solids. Ran that through coffee filters and was left with a cup of neon green aloe water. Just added that to 2 gal water then applied.

Feeding plants, plants! That's Cannabalism HAHA! too corny right.. i just couldn't help myself, Aloe pretty good a gelatinous substance the texture is not that bad I would eat the Aloe to cure my heart burn untimely I exhausted all the Aloe plants around me, now I moved to the aloe juice you find at the walmart pharmacy Aloe + Cucumber/Lime/Mint in your water = Dankness

So is there a final verdict? I have aloe growing so just harvest some gel, blend, and put the mixture in a sprayer. What about adding it to the water I use on my plants growing in organic soil?

Last round of cuttings i took. About 30. Cut clone, let sit in water for a day or two, cut bottom end of cutting off, dip into aloe leaf for 30sec to 1 min or so, put into mild medium , water in, put in dome. Wait. Keep them warmer than 65 deg F and less than 85-80 deg F and they will do fine.

100 % success rate with that method. No fancy hormones, no extra anything. :) Grow you own aloe vera.

I really am sorry to piggy back jump to the last page!

I really am sorry to piggy back jump to the last page!

Look, I really hate someone barging in on a thread at the last page and wasting everyones time: I read the title, then the first page and signed up. I have jumped ahead to say: I am pissed that I didn't find this last month before I went with D.W.C but I think this is still essential whichever way you grow.
I will read all and make some informed comments in due course...
Thanks all for the new learning.

I bought me a Aloe plant a few months ago from walmart. Replanted it into a small 6 inch pot. I use the soil mix i had made up for my grows. Im not expecting it to do much in that small pot. Was wondering if anyone had a easy soil recipe and a feeding schedule for the aloe plant. Also what a good pot size. I know i could go buy some cactus soil but was thinking i could use what i might have on hand.

i've once put aloe to 7,5 litre(about 2 gallons) pot and it grew too for in the old style deep windowsil it was on. so it can get big if you want to and have sunlight. can be kept in all kinds of sizes depending on what you want. im pretty sure your soil mix is more than fine. i would feed it occasionally with low to moderate doses of general purpose or veg nutrient type thing.

i seem to water aloe quite regularly but guess not too much as it's fingers stay plump and green. i've never flowered aloe and have no experience with that, if it brings some value.

Aloe is quite hardy and very adaptive macncheese. I have my growing in a rather nutrient poor soil mix alongside a Tulsi Basil plant and both are doing well. No need for special soil. Use the same soil you would use on your other plants. They will grow into bigger pots just fine, but tolerate small ones as well.

At what point of collecting user results from this forum and compiling their results will we have enough data to begin moving past anecdote, and into the 'worth looking into' realm? I'm not convinced of magical properties, but I do know that salicylic acid helps a plant's immune system in response to disease, and that saponin can be effective as a mite pesticide when aloe vera juice is applied in a mix at 344 PPM. Why not just add an aspirin to my teas when the plant is sick, and add some aloe leaves to my composter? Am I missing something here?

Does the leaf of the aloe vera plant (the green part) do any good/bad to the soil or plant?

Dr.Pecker; aloe does not "like" rich soil. symptoms like you describe can be caused by this as well as excess moisture. it's also the case that too much direct sunlight can give it a "sunburn" ~it's a shade-loving plant though some have anecdotally reported they do not experience this particular issue

Organabis; the leaf is fine to compost & therefor utilize but we advocate the use of the inner filet or product thereof for the specific applications {cloning, SAR trigger, nutrient} one process is to blend the whole filet & strain

If you would like to support the pharmaceutical company and have a single effect, go for asprin.

If you want to harness a increadbly effective plant that has many effects, go for aloe.

Composting breaks down the secondary metabolites we are trying to harness rendering them useless.

Try some aloe, give you baby's a foliar and a root drench and the come back here and tell me its not in the " fuck yea try this now" phase. I get roots growing on the surface after a aloe drench sometimes.
