Sitting here....thinking about some stuff...

Just wanted to give a shout out to all you Non-Medical growers who for whatever reason don't have the luxury (read awesome ability) to grow legally and for whatever reason choose to man up (or woman up) and do your thing. It's not easy. In fact it can be downright depressing sometimes. We do it though. Grats to all of us, every single damn one.

O you med state growers are all right to! :)

i used to anguish it

I don't think the average head can understand the pressure I was under not to use drugs such as marijuana or the forces at work to keep me from it

when I embraced it again, I did so because simply it made life bearable and nothing did and I spent years and years working with professionals to change and it never happened.

So simply without pot I had nothing to live for and with it I stood to lose everything I had and subsequently while I was using pot, I was actually happy enough to value what i had

family, freedom , friends

I do not think anyone can come close to the qualifying factors I am discussing (which I can be more detailed about but want to be abridged for the point of the post) couple that with mental health issues and you basically get paranoia and guilt on a biblical level

I already had social anxiety issues, lol and looking back at it I am surprised it simply did not destroy me. But it did not, instead it made me examine my paranoia and fear and address it. The journey too me to the root of all fear and eventually I was freed from it.

it took years but I have come to terms with who I am and why I do what I do.

I believe that I am justified based on the law of humanity that dwell inside us all (I could expand and tell you what I would tell a jury of my peers but ill save it for the sake or brevity) . That is why I am so moral when it comes to this community and really push people to embrace their consciousnesses because that is the true virtue that can be found when you do something humanitarian and healing regardless of the way of the world.

this is how change happens both individually and socially. I am always about trying to do the right thing and being a decent human being and marijuana facilitates that process.

I used to be paranoid, closed in and very guarded and it made people wonder about me. now I am not and I engage everyone around me expecting the same humanity I found to be dwelling somewhere inside of them

guess what

it does matter if your a cop or a 1% er or Buddhist or Jehovah witness or jew or muslim , black, white, satanist, the list goes on.

thats what pot taught me and yes I have smoked with every one of the above and found the same humanity dwells within

I could go on and on, pretty sure I could write a dissertation on the subject but umm not here and now. :)

I hope you get my point.

I understand in the legal markets the gold rush mentality is keeping is keeping the focus on money. In the illegal markets there are other drugs with a better risk reward ration and part of the reason one would grow is because it has a medicinal value whether it is recognized or not

Seems regardless of it's status there will be some unsavory aspect to contend with.

I grew for 10 years in Florida and Georgia before I moved out here. I remember what it was like being afraid to go to the hydro shop, since cops would stake out places like that to get leads on growers. I remember not being able to invite people over to the house, ever, unless they were family or my best friend from childhood. I remember buying soil, lights, and nutrients at Home Depot or Walmart for my "tomato garden".

Everything's different here in California. I'm glad I made the move 3 years ago. I won't live in a state where growing is illegal again.

I lived in Cali for a year. Growing....visiting shops and co-op's. I can honestly say I changed while I was over there. Unfortunately, as soon as I came back, the fear and everything that comes with it crept back into my life. Maybe one day I can see past it, or better yet, maybe by some miracle something will slap the 3rd eye open on everyone in the south.

I

im me

The paranoia and stress about getting raided and locked up again fucks with me on the daily basis. But i keep doing this for the simple reason that im in the right and the law is wrong.

Florida might legalize it for medical use next year. That would be a good first step. It's only a matter of time before states in the South legalize it for all adults. Polls show majorities in Florida and Georgia now support full legalization. Those majorities are growing every year. The politicians will have to listen to the will of the people at some point.

Good luck with the grows until that happens. My luck held out for 10 years before I moved out here. I just got tired of the risk after a while.

I.moved to NorCal to stay safe aswell but I will always pray for the day when my home, Georgia turns Medical.. ole happy days!

For some strange reason i feel more paranoia while in NorCal than back home! My guess is because no one suspected me to be growing in Georgia but here everyones does it.

fla here

poss Cannabis over 20gms = felony

cultivation 1 plant = felony

for me the risk is less growing 75 plants for my med. need than buying qp's every month.

some move due to pressure of luck running out but some stay and fight it out in court.

id rather take a conviction and have my day in front of the fl supreme court justices than move or quit growing.

the laws WILL change here by 2015.........if not by Nov 2014.

A buddy of mine was arrested there for smoking a joint. He spent a few days in jail before he was sentenced to a year of probation. A year of monthly drug tests and random searches of his house all for one joint. A friend of his spent a few years in prison for getting caught with a bedroom size grow.

I've been pulled over there with weed in the car, but I never got caught. Having a clean cut professional look goes a long way towards making you safer. Don't wear weed related t shirts, and don't put a pot leaf bumper sticker on your car. Keep your stuff in a glass mason jar if you have to drive with it. A ziplock bag isn't enough. If the car smells like weed and you get pulled over, they'll find it and take you to jail.

Hopefully things will change soon. Most of my family is in Florida, but I wouldn't live there again with the way the laws are now.

Shit Florida doesn't play around I don't live there but my sister did. I was on vacation and got arrested for speeding on Daytona beach riding the 4 wheelers that they openly rent and dont tell you any rules or restrictions of the beach.

We didn't get arrested for speeding we got arresting because my friend had a small amount of weed on him. Freaking rediculious I would never fart in Florida unless I knew I was truly alone. Lol

It's just crazy how strict they are in Florida but they have one of the biggest pill mills in the world and I am sure opiate abuse is a epidemic.

They should just legalize weed maybe it will run all those fake pill prescribing doctors out of Florida.
