I'm 47 and nothing has changed my life more than Never Mind the Bollocks. It changed most people's lives here in the UK whether they knew it or not and it still sounds good today. It wasn't just about the music.
Public Image 'Metal Box' came out as Dub was taking root in the UK and is a classic to me, though it's a bit dated now. Jah Wobble, PIL bassist, went on to make 'rising above Bedlam', which is another classic.
Stranglers 'Rattus Norvegicus' made me want to be a bass guitar player.
Every Zep record, they all have romantic lifelong memories for me.
Prodigy, Fat of the land. Learnt to dance!
Dark side of the moon. I was too young to get it at first.
I listened to it for the first time circa 2000 which is 12 years after its release, and connected with it so deeply its changed the way I understand music. I was in my early twenties then and it's been the cornerstone around which I built an entire aisle of my musical approach, for good or ill.
SOJA - Get Wiser
SOJA - Born In Babylon
SOJA - Stars And Stripes
Tribal Seeds - The Harvest
