This is what I mean by the color change.

Sour ran light dep in NorCal.
Beautiful plant and nice fading, I've never try light dep in a grow myself but have smoked some flowers made this way and wow it was some great flowers,IMO light dep is a technique who produce some very good quality flowers if the grower take care of everything else aside light. As the plants are flowering with a very powerful sun, stronger than it is later in the season, it makes some flowers who are looking like they have been grown indoor, the only way for me to tell it was outdoor grown was the bigger stems than indoor but the calyxes were swollen like they would be indoor.
Do you detect some differences between the buds of the same clone made in light dep or full season?

Hey any tips and tricks to growing the Albany cut or links to some good information? I hear this one can be finicky! Or a mentor for this grow from someone with experience would be much appreciated. I only have 5 grows under my belt but goof yields and good smoke so far. I should add it is in a 30 gallon pot of living soil.
I have never grown any clones from the USA but many seed lines made with different Sour D and they can be finicky, like it was already said, keep the temps in check those genetics hate being too hot and they are good eaters so depending on your feeding method maybe add a bit more P/K than usual, don't overdo the N(but they will stretch untill day 25/30 so they need N for a while) and give a bit more Cal/mag than with other plants. That's the most common advices I've been given while asking the same questions than you. Don't forget they are flowering for +/-75/80 days if you use some type of dry amendments be sure there is enough for the whole flowering.

I planted march 22nd. This is supposed to be Albany cut. It came in with some discoloration and new growth has continued to show discoloration. Any thoughts on what this might be? I did have a soil test and would be glad to share the results if there are any soil testing nerds on here😀. I did have it read by KiS Organics and they said it was high in chlorides and copper but to go ahead and continue with this run and flush the soil for the next run. Thanks

Can you please clarify the above sentence? I'm not sure what you mean by "I did have it read by..." the word "read" specifically...

But this is just what that cut does when it's not completely happy. Looks to be the legit cut, leaves look right. She's fussy as hell, and will show her displeasure if everything isn't just how she wants it. This cut might be related to my wife.

Definitely possible.

The cut I got was not very healthy. Others say their cut was healthy. Some say their cut is done in 60 days. Some say 80.
Heres what Cloneys cut looks like in veg. She's in a solo cup, she 2 foot tall and I have to keep up wit feeding her that's why some leaves have those marks(not variegation)because she dries out a bit and ec spikes in the solo cups. But she generally grows vigorous and healthy. At least compared to ecsd chaco ive received. I'm growing them side by side in veg and tbh im starting to think the Cloney is just a healthier version of ecsd(could be wrong just an honest guess from looking at them in solo cups side by side). They have same leaf structures/shapes. Running them next to eachother soon to have a better comparison. I've had her from cloney for a couple years now. Ive noticed if you take her earlier, she has a strong head high/rush that doesnt last as long. If you take her 80+ she's more narcotic high last longer. head high is still there just the onset isnt as intense per say if you take her 80, but it last longer for sure.

So my buddy grew this out. The Albany cut. Sourced directly from Cloney on Strainly. A cpl years back now. He ran it with 1000 watt hps. Maxi-bloom and extra Magnesium. Like she gulped mag like nobody's bidnezz... best sour i had since 2000's. Straight up armpit sweat grapefruity sour. Oily joints you could take huge hits off of without hacking. He grew her 4 or 5 times. And there was a labeling error in cloning room. He ended up with a Topdawg bx3 sour d, twice. Thought he had the Albany cut, and the td cut in same propogater. But they were all the td, and a propogater he thought was all td cut, was the 50/50 one. He sold the tray off to some cat who grew outdoors. Went to get a cut back from dude, but dude had some issue or another lol. So long story short, he list it. He has ordered like 6 strains since then. But wont replace it. Im sketchy about clones. Especially the sd cuts. I know the older cultivars can be picky to dial in. But ive been offered the notsodog headband and sour. So im readying a triage room to make dure they clean b4 introducing to grow.
