So excited... This morning (day 60) I chopped down the first 2 of 6 plants and started manicuring some of them... The pictures speak for themselves...
Wall of buds... Two plants ... 6 lines of buds...
An early sample already dried for 4 days
Cola from one of the plants
Some more buds
There will be more pics as I harvest the other four plants, also I'll post yield when I figure it out. And of course in a few weeks there will be a SMOKE REPORT. I can already tell it's some super strong herb, I've been smoking some dried trim and about two hits is all I need/want for two straight hours! Thanks for checking out my plants!

Not speaking for Doc but my AK-48 has always been in the top 3 of potency of the countless strains i've grown.

Real nice looking buds there , we have ak47 but i have never tried the 48 .From the looks of you buds it looks a fine strain.Congrats on the grow .

Just thought I post up the final results for anyone interested...
After drying and curing for the weeks I harvest between 10 and 11 ozs.
The quality was all really good but suprisingly the green nugs had a better flavour/high than the ones that were purple but of course people are lot more excited for the purple. Definently a lazy sit on the couch stone which isn't my favourite but it's very potent. Unfortunatly for me the one plant that I didn't clone turned out to be the best so I am currently revegging that one and it just started to grow new wimpy shoots from the budsites. Anyway, 10oz for my first indoor grow, I was very satified. And now I'm a complete addict (to growing). PEACE!

I am running some trying to weed out and find a pheno..... did they stink for you in veg bad... I have a-lot of skunky undertone.... I am running Ice in the same veg room, so it could be the Ice........
would you keep any of the phenotypes you found? which one? any specific characteristics to look for??? Thanks.....

Nice yield Dr Snow, those buds look nice and fat. Mine are just babies right now, great job man.

I grew AK48 myself too in 2004 using cfl, and I agree on the smoke report - a sneak preview of trim killed me, hehe and even a cigarette rolled with paper rubbed against teh growing plants left a nice buzz. Couchlock - yup, hehe.
I found the smoke to be a little harsh but with a wonderful berry/flower aftertaste that sticks to your lips with a resiny feel.
I'm still smoking buds from that grow (I don't smoke very often). Taste and potency is not the same but still up there. On the plus side the smoke is softer.
Unfortunately I also experienced hermies. I attributed it to having to turn off the lights for 23 hours because I had visitors and forgot to turn the timer back on when they left - but now that I've read some more hermie reports I'm not so sure any more - it might be a very sensitive strain.
Makes me sad as I seriously consider growing it again, this time in a SOG setup. Perhaps with good mother selection I can avoid it.

Thanks for the positive energy everyone! I'm now working on filling up a hydrohut will flood and drain tables and 2*600w lights or maybe one 600 and one 1000. Anyway, thanks to a good friend of my mine
