the one pictured to the right looks way more vigorous
why not try a 3rd container w/ regular holes punctured into side of water jug?Hempy coco plant (1 gallon container) vs #1 Smart Pot in coco - strain is Apollo 11. Both clones are @ 21 days in the photo.
I think the smart pot is winning. I would love to get an Air Pot and test it out. I wish I could find a distributor in the US...
dont have issues w/ bugs... nor would holes drilled into buckets suddenly make bugs materialize out of thin air. Those little fkrs are like hornets, they LOVE HOLES compared to open topsoil, wet or not.
Nothing gets through the felt mesh of SmartPots, keep the top of your soil fairly dry via drip & you're golden in the real world without spray bottles.
If the discussion was about imaginary crap that would be hilarious and I think you would also need a special section for thatAll this think, assume, imaginary crap is hilarious!
I'm so fkin done with ALL grow related threads, knock yerselves out...
beautiful garden!... you obviously have your program dialed... whatever containers you select to use...Been using Airpots for a while now and I dont know about side by side grows and all that but I personally will never grow in anything else again. My results have been crazy good with more yield and faster returns on flowering cycles. Now with that said you get gnats! They do love the convieneant little holes. But with kneem and strips I have never had any issues cause by them. As far as saving money, the 5 gallons pots are $5 bucks a piece now and if that is too high a price to pay for these results, maybe this is not the right hobby. Good luck either way and I whole heartedly reccomend these to anyone looking to do big things.
no not too big at all . I've seen plants in 20 gallons pots under one lamp in scrog.whazzup-i was using chow mix in both coco/hydroton mix.as far as 5 gallons not being optimal do you meen to big? the plants i was growing were between 1-2 lbs a plant depending on veg time. the room consisted of 4 1000w mh in the middle and 8 1000w hps on the outside. sealed room hydro innovations co2 generator and a 3 fan chiller for ac as well as dehumidifiers and a humidifier.the nutes were cana coco a and b with pk13-14 drain to waste.
Here's a U.S. distributor:
